I Made 'Him' a 'Her'!
So without further ado, I present to you a card I made on Sunday using the cutey CC Design bear. I'm loving the fact that all the CC Designs stamps have now been released in Digi form... can't wait til payday on Friday!
I made the bulk of the card by layering up DCWV card stock with pink and green Basic Grey papers (Sultry and Offbeat I think but I could be wrong!) I coloured my CC bear with ProMarkers and Copics and highlighted with white gel pen. To make my 'he' a 'she', I added a little hibiscus flower from the CC scenery set - how cute does she look?! My bear was then plopped onto white card using lots of 3D pads. I tied everything together with pink and green Poppicrafts ribbon and some sparkly bling gems.
By the way, check out my scalloped edge! I don't yet have a punch and I didn't cut it by hand... I used my Nesties! Apologies if you have all already figured out how to do this but I am super excited by this discovery as it means I don't have to buy a bulky punch - woohoo! Check out this blog for all the deets.

Pink Cat Studio Contest - Lily the Fairy
I made this card a couple of weeks ago for the Pink Cat Studio 'Lily the Fairy' contest. You'll be pleased to hear that whilst I am late in sharing it with you, I did manage to enter it on time!
For this card, I used up some Pink Petticoat scraps that I had kicking around from a series of cards I made a few weeks ago. I love these Pretty Doodle papers! I used the positive and negative versions and layered them up with a solid darker pink paper. I'd love to tell you the exact shades, but I cannot for the life of me remember. Could be Sassy..... maybe Orchid.....! I coloured the gorgeous Lily image with ProMarkers and Copics and highlighted her wings with a clear Sakura Stardust pen and a waterbrush.
Although this is a pretty basic layout, I really like the card because it is so bold and colourful!
Only 1 more day to go 'til the weekend! Woo-hoo! Can't wait as I am meeting up with my Mum and we are going to be 'Ladies Wot Lunch'!

Am I a Scrap Addict #10
Following the sketch, I added Doodlebug DP onto a blank covered with chocolate coloured card. There was a lot of measuring and slicing involved, let me tell you! On to this crazy backdrop, I added a Nestie circle and a cutie patootie CC Designs bear. I love him! I coloured 'Bear' with ProMarkers and highlighted with white gel pen. Hot pink organza was wrapped round the card and a MFT sentiment added, complete with a faux stitch/doodle border.
Have a great weekend folks!

Mojo Monday #68
Whilst I am cutting it a little bit fine, one of the cards I made today was for the Mojo Monday #68 sketch. It is also for an order so I am really pleased to say that it is one of my favourite cards that I have ever made! No idea why..... I just love it!
For this card, I made full use of the gorgeous Pink Petticoat 'Pretty Doodle' papers. OMG, I adore these babies! I layered up the Orchid and Pink papers according to the sketch and added a MFT sentiment. The image is from The Greetings Farm (another of my latest obsessions!) and is coloured with a mixture of Copics and ProMarkers. I added the finishing touches with adhesive gems and some sparkly organza ribbon.
Hope you like it as much as I do!

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 33
I started off by layering some brown Bazzill card onto my square card blank. I then took some funky orange paper from the gorgeous Basic Grey Offbeat series and inked the edges with brown ink. I'm pleased to report that I am having far greater inking success since I decided to sponge the ink on rather than attack the item directly with my ink pad! The fabby image is from The Greetings Farm (formerly known as Pink Poison) and is one of their new digital stamps. I coloured Anya with a mixture of Promarkers and Copics, cut her out and added her to a panel of white card with 3D pads (not that you can see it from this pic!). I coloured some flowers with Promarkers and added twill-tied buttons to their centres. I finished the whole thing off with a MFT sentiment and some fab ribbon which came off the box of a Caffitiere that I got for Christmas!
Hope you like my offering, I might try to get a better picture tonight when I get in from work! Thanks for a great sketch Nikki!

My Favorite Things - Sketch 62
For my first MFT card, I decided to take part in a sketch challenge posted on the MFT forum section of SCS. It was a fab sketch and I had a great time working with it.
I started off by layering some red Core'dinations cardstock onto my square card blank. Onto this I added Basic Grey 'Cupcake' paper, into which I handcut a scalloped edge (I really need a scalloped punch....!). I coloured the MFT image using a mixture of Promarkers and Copics and added this panel on to a 'doctored' rectangular Nestie. I finished the card with Poppicrafts ribbon, adhesive gems and a MFT sentiment. I'm really pleased with how everything turned out as I love all the bright colours!
I'm off to do some blog hopping now, I need to pull my socks up as I've been a useless blogger of late!

Am I a Scrap Addict? - Sketch #9
Unfortunately, as things got a bit hectic here, I has to miss sketch 8 of Am I a Scrap Addict. I felt really bad so I was very relieved that I was able to join in with sketch 9..... even though it was a real tricky one! As the 2nd January (today!) is my Dad's birthday, I decided to make a card for him to the sketch that Deanne provided....
I inked the edges of some Basic Grey 'Offbeat' paper (an absolute STEAL from The Glitter Pot at the mo!) and mounted this on to a side opening A6 card. I mounted on to this a Nestie circle and an owl coloured with Promarkers. I embellished the card using Poppicrafts ribbon and Hobbycraft adhesive gems. Finally, I used Doodlebug Simply Sweet rub-ons to create the sentiment which, as Dad turned 65 this year, seemed very appropriate! I'm dead chuffed with this card actually as, for the first time ever, I managed not to get in a horrible inky mess whilst distressing my papers! I'm hoping this means that I have 'cracked' this technique!
Right, I'm off to go play with the new stash I got for Christmas - you can expect to see some 'My Favorite Things' inspired cards shortly!
