Copic Colour Challenge 24

Do you have 'fallback layouts' that you pull out every time you need a quick card? Well, this is my one! I've been doing so much recently that I hadn't had time to make my card for the Copic Colour Challenge. So out came this old faithful layout :o)

Paper: Basic Grey 'Pheobe' and Core'dinations CS.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.

Friday Sketchers #62

Yippee! I've got 2 whole weeks off work! Whilst I am hoping to do lots of crafting during this time, I really couldn't get started today - I was too busy watching the F1 and the Swimming World Championships on the telly! However, between crashes and swims, I did manage to make a card for this weeks Friday Sketchers challenge.
Something that has become completely apparent is that I have a bit of a pink fetish at the moment! No idea why, just seem to be drawn to it! And as soon as I received this gorgeous Riley image from Tracy at DTDF, I just knew he was going on a pink and brown card :o)

Goodie List........
Stamps:
'Couch Riley' by Hanna Stamps, available here.
Paper: RAK from Deanne and Bazzill 'Kraft' Cardstock.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Card Candy, ribbon, button & flower from stash.

Hope you all had a fab weekend and that you haven't had too much rain!

A Too Late Stamp Something!

Oh dear. Would you believe I made this last Saturday to the Stamp Something sketch but forgot to upload it? It's so annoying when you manage to complete challenges and are then too late to take part isn't it?! Oh well, here it is anyway.....!

This little cutie was Ali's birthday card from me this year. The story is that we are both desperate to 'steal' the little westie that lives in the same block as us! But, as we could never truly steal him away from his probably very loving Mummy and Daddy, I decided this little scamp would have to do for the time being! My colouring is rubbish but, luckily, Ali loved it anyway!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Little Claire, Sentiment printed from PC.
Paper: Stampin' Up!
Ink & Colour: Memento, Copic markers and white gel pen.
Tools & Embellishments: Adhesive gems from stash.

Right, must dash, posting illegally again! Its my last day for 2 whole week (eeek! so excited!) so I suppose I had better go do something! Thanks for visiting me today and for any comments you might leave! ~♥~

Copic Colour Challenge 23

Oops, I'm a little late. This was supposed to appear at 12 noon today. I'm only 5.5 hours late I guess.....!

So what am I late for? Well, it is Wednesday which means that it is Copic Colour Challenge day! I picked the colours for the challenge this week and it wasn't until I was writing up the post on the challenge blog this morning that I realised that I have basically picked a traffic light! Yep, red, amber, green! And without further ado, here is my traffic light inspired DT creation.......

The adorable Greeting Farm image I used on this one is from my fave place to shop - Dies to Die For! Isn't she the cutest?! I have to admit though, whilst I love the elements of this card seperately, I am not fussed about them all together. Actually, I think all of my problems are with the square behind my little image. I wanted a circle but only had enough of the navy card to make a square! Never satisfied am I?! Boo :(

Goodie List........
Stamps: Hope & Grace by TGF - in stock at Dies to Die For.
Paper: Marrakech by Basic Grey, Bazzill CS.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Copic markers & white gel pen.
Tools & Embellishments: Satin ribbon and button from stash.

Gonna dash now as it is Ali's birthday and I am treating him to a night out at our favourite Chinese restuarant - can't wait! I've been dreaming of satay chicken, crispy duck pancakes and king prawn with cashew nuts all day long!

Enjoy your evening, whatever you are up to! ~♥~

By the way, whilst we are on the subject of Magnolia stamps, did you know that Tracy over at Dies to Die For now stocks Magnolias?! You can find a rather yummy selection here.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Magnolia.... no idea which one!
Paper: Stampin' Up! and Core'dinations CS.
Ink & Colour: Copic markers and white gel pen.
Embellishments: Prima flowers, Dew Drops, buttons and embroidery thread from stash.

Right, better go before anyone works out that I am up to mischief!

Copic Colour Challenge 22

Blimey this week is going so fast! I am doing 3 people's jobs at the moment and I have to say, I'm not clock watching any more. Nope, I am too cream crackered for that! Lucky for me, I managed to make my weeks worth of cards on Sunday so I can just gradually reveal them during the week to you. Phew! Dread to think what monstrosity I would create in my current brain-dead state!

So, here is my card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge. We have adandoned the colour combos this week in favour of Maddy's yummy sketch. Always good to mix it up a little bit isn't it?! This week we are sponsored by Peachy Keen stamps and all of the DT got to choose an image to have a play with. I went for this little sweetie as I knew she would be the perfect match for these Zoe Pearn papers I bought ages ago (but have never used!).

Goodie List........
Stamps: Lulee's Swim Time - Peachy Keen Stamps.
Digi Paper: 'Surf's Up' by Zoe Pearn from Sweet Shoppe Designs
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Embellishments: Buttons and embroidery thread from stash.

This post is scheduled to appear at 12 noon on Wednesday but Blogger appears to be broken so my guess is that it will publish when I manually shove it online.... whenever that may be!

Happy hump day!

Just Magnolia - Week 13

I'm pleased to say that I didn't get washed away in the monsoon at Saturday's christening. Although, my frock was pretty much ruined anyway as I put it on 3 weeks after buying it to realise that is now way too big for me! Grr. Love that dress too :o( . However, as Ali said, at least it wasn't too small for me, at least I went the right way along the scale! Despite the fashion dramas, the christening was lovely and Emily Grace didn't even cry! Quite the opposite actually, she high-fived the priest when he reached out to try and touch her forehead! Bless!

After the excitement of the christening, I came home and made up my 'challenge sheet' for the week and had a delve in my newly put together "Favourite Swap Images which I HAVE to Use" bag. The first one to come out was this gorgeous Tilda, which I decided would be perfect for the sketch over on the Just Magnolia challenge blog.

I have to admit, I am extremely partial ot the lovely papers and colours on this one! It's also the first time that I tried colouring behind the image too and, despite the masses of blender pen I went through, I think it went pretty well. Still addicted to those scalloped blanks though I'm afraid.....!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Magnolia - received in swap.
Paper & Card: Stampin' Up.
Ink & Colour: Memento, Copic markers, Spica glitter pen & white gel pens.
Tools & Embellishments: Nestabilities, Prima flowers, Dew Drops, C.Cards Mini Messages.

Anyway, best go and get in the shower now.... wish it was still the weekend and I didn't have to go to stinky work!

A Spoon Full of Papertake Something!

Ooh, don't you just love it when you can combine a couple of your fave challenges?! Well, today's card incorporates Papertake Weekly (My Favourite Things), A Spoon Full of Sugar (Hearts) and Stamp Something (Pink, Green & Yellow).

I guess from the picture you can see that the colour combo and hearts aspect are fairly obvious, but as for the favourite part...... I'm totally smitten with my scalloped blanks, this DB paper I picked up in Newbury and my Copics. Also, I recently went through the mountains of images that I have received through swaps and RAK's and sorted them by company and then by 'favouriteness'. Consequently, you can guess where this super cute Panduro image got sorted can't you?!

Goodie List........
Stamps:
Panduro.
Paper: Doodlebug, Core'dinations CS.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Craftwork Cards Mini Messages.

By the way, make sure you hot foot it over to Dies to Die For as Tracy has just got some lovely Magnolia stamps in (too cute!) and also has a very nice stock of Martha Stewart punches IN STOCK! She also has Bilmalarna stamps and Fairy Doodles in too. You'll be spoilt for choice!
Right, must dash, busy day today. Need to do a bit of EA Active on the Wii and then it is off to my friend's little girls christening. Lets just hope my nice frock doesn't get ruined in the monsoon we are expecting today!
P.S. Not sure if anyone is interested in this but I have added a 'Subscribe by Email' button to the column on the right. ~♥~

This is the first card I made using my lovely new stash and I used this weeks fab sketch over at Sketch Saturday. Don't you just LOVE the gorgeous Dahlia?! I totally adore her.... swoon! I've been reading some tutorials lately on how to colour hair with Copics and I think this effort is a marked improvement on my previous attempts - well, I'm pleased with it anyway :o) .

Yep, 2nd post of the day and I've actually got a card to share with you too! I made this one a week ago but have been galavanting so much this week that I haven't had a chance to share it with you until today. I'm afraid I am still completely hooked on this American Crafts paper, think I had better buy some more before it runs out.....!

I used the totally gorgeous "Olivia's Birdies" set from Dies to Die For for this card. It's the first time I have tried this grass effect and I have to admit, I'm fairly pleased with it - expect to see it pop up again on a card near you sometime soon!

Wonderful Friends and Lovely Stash!

I'm so sorry I've been AWOL over the last couple of days, I'm afraid to say that I have been having far too much fun to blog! I had the most brilliant birthday, it was my bestest in years.

I had a great time shopping with my Mum. We got lots of bargains, drank lots of coffee and stuffed our faces to the max! Sheer bliss! The face stuffing continued in the evening as Ali took me out for dinner. We had slightly too much wine (hiccup!) but it made for a very entertaining walk home and for once, I'm pleased to say, it wasn't me that ended up with blisters from unsuitable footwear!

I had some fab presents from my family (Wii Active, money, clothes, CD's, DVD's etc) and some truly gorgeous cards and (amazingly generous!) gifts from my crafting chums. I thought you might like to see the wonderful goodies I was sent........

These pics have uploaded a little on the small side, but if you click on them, the should enlarge and you will be able to see them in their full glory!

Last but not least, I want to say a massive thank you to Tracy. Not only does she spoil me on a regular basis through my DT work for Dies to Die For, she has totally spoiled me with my birthday gift..... Not only did she send me this ENORMOUS pile of gorgeous Basic Grey papers, I also received something that has been on my wish list for a while..... a very lovely Dahlia stamp from The Greeting Farm! Thank you so much Tracy!

Didn't I do well?! Not only that, I travelled up to the Art Stamps show in Newbury yesterday and treated myself to a little more stash! Amongst other things, I bought some lovely Stamposaurus stamps, some WoJ sentiments, new ink pads, even MORE delish papers and some Craftwork Cards stash. However, the best thing about the day for me was to meet up with some of my lovely bloggy friends - Sarah, Sam and Bev.

Sarah - Thanks for being so patient with me whilst I wandered around and around, dithering over what to buy! Was lovely to finally meet you!
Sam - Hurrah! You finally bought some Copics! Hope you love them as much as I do!
Bev - Fab demo my lovely, did the maths questions last the full 2 days?!

Thank you all once again for making my birthday such a special one.
P.S. I'll be back later with a card! ~♥~

Copic Colour Challenge #20

Morning all. Just peered outside the window and we have........ SUNSHINE! Now, this may sound obvious to some, but yesterday, whilst you were all basking/melting, we had rain and the greyist skies you have ever seen. I felt cheated and robbed! Things are looking up today though, maybe it won't rain on my birthday tomorrow after all!

Right, down to business. Time to share my DT card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge. I actually made this card quite by accident. Well, I obviously meant to make it, however it was only once I had finished that I realised I had used all of the colours for this weeks challenge! How clever am I?! Wish every week was this easy :o) We've also got a fab sponsor this week, a nice shiny new stamp company - Squiggle Stamps. If you are a Copics user, make sure you enter this week, as you will love the prize they have offered!

I am totally in love with these American Crafts papers. I wanted them for ages but always put off buying them as I was worried that I'd find the bold patterns really tricky to work with. Boy was I wrong! Hoping to find some more at Newbury this weekend.

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Hoo Hoo Time' by Rachelle Anne Miller from Dies to Die For.
Paper: American Crafts 'Everyday', Core'dinations CS.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) and Copic markers.
Embellishments: Ribbon, embroidery thread and button from stash.

Right, I'm off to get ready for my last day of being 27! It's all downhill from midnight I guess....!
Enjoy the sunshine!
