Copic Colour Challenge #33

I'm going slightly mad..... SUPER busy at work as it is Freshers week and my new crew are due to arrive on Thursday. Ooh, that will be tomorrow then..... ARGH!!! Very stressed, loads of cards to make and not enough time to make them in. Which is probably why my DT card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge looks rushed and basically, rubbish! Oh well, there is always next week I guess....!

What a disaster huh? The worst part of it is that I chose the blinkin' colours this week!

Goodie List........
Image: Heidi Among the Flowers by CC Designs, in stock at Dies to Die For.
Sentiment: Birthday Sentiments by Amy R, in stock at Dies to Die For.
Paper:
'Sugar Plum Princess' by Zoe Pearn, from Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Embellishments: Button, gems and flower from stash.

Sorry for not getting round your blogs much at the moment. I promise that once I am over this hellish week, I will be showing you all the love BIG time :o)

Anyone for Anya? - Sketch 2

Sorry for the lack of posting this week folks, things with me have been a little manic. I normally sneak on during the day at work but alas, I've been too busy. Shocking huh? I've also been away at my friends house in Basingstoke this weekend (I gave you a wave Beth!) for a surprise 1st birthday party (for the Mum, not the baby obviously!) and a surprise baby shower! We ate party food, Chinese takeaway, drank cherryade, played party games and just basically had lots of fun all day! The baby shower games proved very interesting as we did one where we had to guess the flavour of the baby food - it was vile! No wonder babies won't eat it! Yuk.

Anyway, down to business and this weeks Anyone for Anya? challenge. It's a good one this week - a Dawny P sketch! We all love those right?!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamp: The Greeting Farm.
Sentiment: Amy R Designs - from Dies to Die For.
Paper: Basic Grey 'Cupcake'.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Embellishments: Adhesive gems and ribbon from stash.

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend and that you are enjoying the glorius sunshine!

Copic Colour Challenge 32

Hi peeps! Just a quick one from me today I'm afraid as I am posting at work and things here are manic as the students and academic staff are starting to reappear after their summer break and EVERYONE seems to want a piece of me! I'm also supposed to be in my Spinning class in.... ooh.... 15 minutes! Oops! So, without further ado, here is my DT card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge, using the colours V06, B23 and BG23.

I panicked when I first saw these colours as I didn't think I had any purple papers. However, a quick flick through my digital mountain revealed that actually, I do! These were buried in the week 4 bundle of the Sweet Shoppe Designs summer samplers that they dished out this summer. Perfect for this combo I think.

Goodie List........
Stamps:
'Busy Mama' by High Hopes, in stock at Dies to Die For.
Digital Paper: 'Bella' by Fee Jardine from Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Embellishments: Buttons and ribbon from stash.

Right, better run (literally!) as I'm going to be VERY late for Spinning at this rate!

Anyone for Anya - Funky Flowers

Crikey, Sunday night already.... where does the blinkin' time go eh?! Mind you, I have had a lovely weekend and I do have tomorrow off, so I can't complain too much can I? Anyway, today I have my DT card to share with you for this weeks fabulous Anyone for Anya? challenge. This week, we have the theme of 'Funky Flowers'.

Now, for most people, this challenge will be REALLY easy. For me? Tricky, to say the least as I suddenly realised whilst making this card, that I don't tend to use flowers very often! To say I struggled with this one is a bit of an understatement.....! Really hope you have more success than me - can't wait to see you put my feeble effort to shame ;o)

Goodie List........
Stamps: Miss Anya Dressy, from Dies to Die For.
Paper: Doodlebug.
Cardstock: Bazzill 'Kraft'.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Embellishments: Wooden flower button, Stickles, yellow button & ribbon from stash.

I'm gonna leave you in peace now as I am hoping to have a quick dip in the bath before I climb into bed to get started on my new Dan Brown book. Ooh, the excitement of being a twenty-something crafter!

Stamp Something.... For Emily :o)

Hello my lovely chums, hope you are all happy that it is the weekend at last. I had the day off (again!) and so spent it with my friend Christie and her little girl Emily who turned a big fat one today! Can't believe she is a year old already. It really does make you realise just how quick time goes by, doesn't it? Anyway, I thought today that it would be appropriate to share the card that I made for Emily's birthday with you.

I spotted this image over at Mo's Digital Pencil a couple of weeks ago and I've had my eye on it for Emily ever since. I've also managed to squeeze in a little challenge too. The task over at Stamp Something this week is to use your favourite colours and/or papers. Well, turquoise is my favourite colour and MME Bloom and Grow are my (current) favourite papers so I think this one fits the bill perfectly!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamp: 1st Birthday Girl from Mo's Digital Pencil.
Paper: MME 'Bloom & Grow', from Dies to Die For.
Cardstock: Bazzill - 'Malachite'.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Embellishments: Ribbon and button from stash.

Hey-ho, thats all from me today. I think I had better go now to clean up the crafty mess in the lounge before Ali gets in from training. He rather diplomatically pointed out earlier that it had all taken over rather! Whoops!

Copic Colour Challenge 31

What a strange week it has been. I have had cards to show you every day but no time to post them! Very annoying really as several of them were for challenges. Grr. Oh well, they will just have to be 'just because' cards now won't they?! So what have I been doing with my time? Well, working obviously, but I've also spent quite a bit of time giving the Copic Colour Challenge website a bit of a new image. I'm really pleased with it so I hope you all like it too! And on that subject, here is my DT card for this weeks colour combo - YR68, G94, Y38.

I was literally desperate to ink up my Miss Anya Dressy's and as wasted no time in getting this little baby coloured! I also fancied doing a clean and simple card and as these Stampin' Up! papers matched the colour scheme perfectly, they got dragged out of their hidey hole and slapped on this card!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Miss Anya Dressy by TGF, in stock at Dies to Die For.
Sentiment Stamps: Birthday Sentiments by Amy R, in stock at Dies to Die For.
Paper:
Stampin' Up.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools: Oval Nesties.

Before I go (to my first Spinning class in a year - yuk!), I just wanted to let you know about something very exciting going on over at Dies to Die For. It is the fantabulously lovely Tracy's birthday on Monday, and she is having a week full off birthday offers which change every day! If you haven't already, check out her blog, or sign up to the shop newsletter to stay up to date!

Anyone for Anya?! Pink, White + 1 Other...

.... and guess what "1 other" I went for...... Yep, black! I've gone a little bit funky this week with a bit of a scrappy style. I even got my glue and my glitter out which I have to admit, I NEVER normally do because I get in such a mess! Pretty pleased with the results though, hope you like it!
My only slight concern is that she looks a little bit like the oldest, yet funkiest Anya in town! Why did I not realise until now that her hair has come out GREY?! Oh dear, think I need some darker Copic in the 'C' realm...!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Miss Anya, in stock at Dies to Die For.
Digital Paper: Mixture of Zoe Pearn downloads.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems, ribbon, wooden button and glitter all from stash.

Really hope you can join us this week for more Anya fun!

P.S. Sorry for the super quick post, I gotta go get the dinner in! Pin It

Sew, Sew, Sew....

Blimey, I must be one half of the saddest couple on the planet. Do you know how we have spent our Saturday night? Googling bird sounds to try and work out what the hell the terradactyl that wakes us up at 3am every morning actually is. Turns out, it sounds a lot like an owl. Only, a really loud screechy one. That sounds a lot like you'd expect a terradactyl to sound. Anyhow, (or should I say, 'anyhooo'?!), on to today's card.....

Isn't this image the cutest?! He is a proud part of my precious heap of Whimsy stamps and also makes up my entry for this weeks challenge over at the Whimsy Challenge Blog - 'Sew, Sew, Sew'. I'd really love a little sewing machine but don't really have anywhere to put it. So, for now, I will have to make do with faux stitches I guess. BTW, you can't really tell from the rubbish picture but I sponged the background with chalk ink to add a bit of sky. It looks lovely IRL, I promise!

Goodie List........
Stamps:
Whimsy Duck
Digital Paper: Urban Clover by Peppermint Creative.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools: Nestabilities.
Embellishments: Craftwork Cards Sentiment, ribbon & button from stash.

Whilst we are on the subject of Whimsy stamps, have you checked out the new Pet Collection bundle? It is currently available to pre-order here. You get 3 large character stamps and a set of sentiment stamps that work perfectly with them. And all for a fabulous price. What more could you ask for?! Get over there quick to check it out.
Thanks for listening to me ramble, hope I haven't bored you to death! See you tomorrow, ready for the new Anyone for Anya challenge!

A Teddy for Paige - Please help!

As some of you may already be aware, my Whimsy team mate Erin is asking for some help. Not for herself, but for her 13 year old neighbour, Paige. Unfortunately, Paige has recently been seriously injured in an awful boating accident and has had to have part of her arm amputated. Whilst doctors are battling to save the rest of her arm, they are unsure at this stage exactly how much they can do. You can read Paige's story here.

Being the lovely lady that she is, Erin really wants to help the family and so is offering some amazing candy to one lucky crafter. All you have to do to enter is to make and send a card to Paige. Not only that, but Erin has asked our fab Whimsy boss Denise to get involved too. Denise and her hubby got right on to the case and created the gorgeous teddy above. 'Teddy for Paige' is now available from the Whimsy shop for the bargain price of $3 and ALL proceeds will go to Paige and her family.

As this card is for a very special person, I decided it was definately worthy of my new Cosmo Cricket papers! I love these babies and haven't stopped stroking them since they dropped on to my doormat last week!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamp: A Teddy for Paige from Whimsy.
Sentiment: 'Sassy Sentiments' by MFT.
Paper: 'Earth Love' by Cosmo Cricket
Cardstock: Bazzill 'Kraft'.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools: Nestabilities.

I really hope you are able to support this incredibly worthy cause.

Copic Colour Challenge 30

What a week at work?! It's been mega busy and unfortunately, all I want to do is stay home and craft. Consequently, getting out the door in the morning (and staying motivated all day!) is proving to be a challenge! When I haven't been huffing about going to work though, I have managed to get in a few crafty hours! Hurrah! And without further ado, here is my effort for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge.

The eagle eyed among you will probably notice that I have combined this weeks colours (R29, BG05 and Y15) with the sketch over on Friday Sketchers. I love this sketch and think it will get placed in to my book of favourite (yes, I have one of those!).

Goodie List........
Stamps: CC Designs 'Spring Things' and 'Birthday Sentiments' by Amy R Designs, both available from Dies to Die For.
Paper: Basic Grey 'Cupcake'.
Cardstock: Bazzill 'Kraft'.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Embellishments: Gems from stash.

Right better go and chuck some slap on as we are off to Pizza Express with some friends for some grub - yum!

Anyone for Anya? Buttons, Bows & Brads

Yay! Anya time again! This week, we want you to whip out your Greeting Farm stamps and team them up with buttons, bows and brads. Now, regular visitors to my blog will now that I have recently become obsessed with using button tied bows on my cards. You can therefore imagine my joy when I realised I could actually use this embellie to satisfy the demands of the challenge on my Anyone for Anya? DT card this week!

This is probably my favourite Anya.... well, in this set anyway! I think the bright pink ribbon may be slightly too bright pink but I chucked it on regardless. You know me, it has to be bright to be beautiful! ;o)

Goodie List........
Stamps: Rain, Snow & Shine by TGF, in stock at Dies to Die For.
Digital Paper: 'Plumberry Harvest' by Peppermint Creative.
Cardstock: Bazzill 'Kraft'.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Oval Nestabilities, Card Candy, button, ribbon and embroidery thread from stash.

Make sure you keep checking back to the shop regularly as these babies are gonna sell fast! Whilst you are waiting for the new Anya's to come in, why not pop over and check out the rest of Tracy's fabulous empire? She's just taken delivery of some fabulous new lines of stamps and in particular..... MAGNOLIAS! She's also got the matching papers and a huge heap of wonderful My Minds Eye papers.
So thats it from me. Hope you can play along with our challenge this week and make sure you check out my teamies gorgeous creations!

CCC #29 & CCT #75 Challenge Combo

Oh dear, I'm running a little late with this ones folks - it was supposed to go live at noon today! Anyway, here is a little card I made for my Copic Colour Challenge DT card. The colours this week were seriously tricky for me as I only had one of them. So, I picked my nearest colours.... although you could be forgiven for missing them on my card! I used the YR23 and the browny colour for the hair and had her standing on the greeny colour. See, I did use the right combo really, the colours are just well hidden ;o)

I also made this one for this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge - 'new beginnings'. I have sent this to a special girlie who is just starting a new job. Hope she has received it as I fear this may ruin the surprise - whoops!
The eagle eyed among you may notice that I have also followed the sketch over at the Sugar Bowl. Unfortunately, it wasn't until I looked closely at the challenge that I realised that I should have included buttons and indeed, that it cannot be combined with any other challenge. Pants! I may have to have another go soon :o)

Goodie List........
Stamps:
Sugar Nellie
Sentiment: Studio G.
Paper: MME Bloom and Grow - in stock at Dies to Die For.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Embellishments: Primas and Dew Drops.

Thanks for visiting me today!
