Copic Colour Challenge 45

Well hello my friends! Crikey, 2 weeks without a post?! That must be a first for me I think!

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and that Santa bought you all lots of craft related goodies! I did rather well really as, amongst other things, Ali bought me some more Copics (wahoo!) and the last bit of the Copic airbrush system I needed (long story, don't ask....!). AND, my wonderful parents bought me a Janome Sew Mini! I absolutely adore that little blighter, even if it did break on me this morning! Mind you, I think it was more user error than machine error....! Due to that little breakdown, don't look too closely at the stitching on my DT card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge as it is pretty clear to see where the machine decided it hated me!

This is actually my Dad's birthday card and, whilst I am pleased with the zigzag stitching, I actually really dislike this card! Oh well, not bad seeing as it is my first card in a couple of weeks I suppose!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Elzybells.
Paper: Pink Petticoat.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Machine stitching and adhesive gems.

So, thats it from me! I have a load of Christmas cards I haven't yet shared with you so I will hopefully be uploading them over the next couple of days.

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. Does anyone else have the Janome Sew Mini? Do you have any tips or tricks? If so, I'd love to hear them! Also, I quite fancy getting a zipper foot (can see a mild bag making obsession looming!) - does anyone know if I can attach one of these to my mini machine or is that just for the big boys? ~♥~

Copic Colour Challenge #44

Good gawd, it is getting cold out there isn't it?! My colleague got all excited this morning as Met Check have said that we can expect snow in Southampton on Christmas day! A total rarity for us. Mind you, it probably won't affect me as I'll be at home with my folks on the Isle of Wight and, due to that lovely coastline, they never get any snow there!

Anyway, enough waffling..... It's Copic Colour Challenge time! This week we are sponsored by InStyle stamps and the colour trio is Y15, BG05 and E47. Whilst making my card, I was mentally cursing the DT member who thought up this colour combo..... that was until I realised that I was the poor fool who picked it!!!

So, here is my card using my InStyle image. I love this girlie and this is going to be my Christmas card to my niece. Hope she likes it!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Girl Singer' by InStyle.
Paper: 'Jolly by Golly' by Cosmo Cricket.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash, computer generated sentiment.

So, that's it from me today. Hope you are all well and that you are all set for the big day!

Whimsy Advent Event - Day 14!

Yep, it's day 14 of the Whimsy advent event! It's been so great to see so much Whimsy love everywhere. Well, today it is my turn to share another Whimsy creation with you. I couldn't wait to get this gorgeous image by Crissie Armstrong inked up - such a sweetie!

The eagle-eyed crafters out there will notice that I have used a sketch from a challenge blog..... however I just don't know which one! Anyone got any ideas?! I can't find the bit of paper I wrote it on!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Jolly Puppy Kisses by Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: Merry Days of Christmas by My Minds Eye, from Dies to Die For.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Adhesive pearls by Prima, from Dies to Die For.

Right. Fancy some candy?! Well you are going to want to hop on over to Denise (our lovely DT boss!) to see what treat she has on offer :o)

Anyone for Anya?! Bling it Up Baby!

Hi folks, a flying post from me tonight! Gotta serve up dinner in 10 minutes, then wolf it down quickly so that I can spend the rest of the night on the sofa with a glass of vino, watching the X Factor final! I'm so rooting for Joe - love that boy!

Anyway, quickly down to the reason you are probably here - my Anyone for Anya DT card! This week we want you to bling it up so chuck all the sparkle you can at your card - EASY!

Aside from the gems, you can't really see my sparkle. Just in case you are wondering, the snowflake is smothered in glitter IRL!

This is also my entry in to Papertake this week as I haven't used red or green! I've just got close - pink and aqua!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamp: The Greetings Farm.
Sentiment: Pink Cat Studio.
Paper: Cosmo Cricket.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Snowflake punchie, ribbon, button and gems from stash.

Toodles peeps!

Copic Colour Challenge #43

It cannot be Wednesday already can it?! Well, in that case, I better share my Copic Colour Challenge DT card with you hadn't I? The colours this week are BV23, R59 and YG03. Unfortunately, these colours exposed a little gap in my Copic collection....I hardly own any BV colours! Consequently, I couldn't really stick to this weeks colour combo particularly loyally and had to substitute the purple/grey colour for bog standard C Copic shades. NOTE TO SELF: Buy more Copics! ;o)

As we are sponsored by the wonderful My Favorite Things this week, it seemed only fitting that I used this fabulous MFT image. I've adored this stamp from afar for AGES and my wonderful friend Sheila bought it for me as a present on my birthday. I'm very ashamed to say that this is the very first time it has seen ink.... But, isn't the sentiment brilliant?!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Maid for You by MFT
Paper: Stampin' Up!
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash.

Hope everyone is well!

Whimsy Advent Event - Day 7

Wow, 2nd post of the day! Almost unheard of for me that is!

I had to nip back today though as I have to share some Whimsy inspiration with you. That's right, it is day 7 of the advent event and my turn to host today's Whimsy advent offering! Todays prize is this adorable Whimsy Seal!

Isn't he the cutest? To be in with a shot of winning this fab prize, all you have to do is leave your name with Mr Linky at the bottom of this post. I will pick a winner tomorrow at 2.30pm GMT.

So...... wanna see my Whimsy creation?!

I love all of Crissy's new designs and think this one is so super cute. AND, I reckon I can get away with using this one in March for my friend's birthday. So versatile ☺.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Purr-fect Gift from Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: Stampin' Up!
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash.

OK, I think you have heard enough from me today so I will be off now. Remember to leave your name with Mr Linky below to be in with a shot for todays prize!

Anyone for Another Day Late Anya?!

Oh dear.... my regular posting has all gone horribly wrong hasn't it? I've made the cards to share with you, just haven't had the time to actually share them! What a manic weekend it's been. However, I have achieved.... I managed to get all of my Christmas shopping done in one day and also did a 5 hour round trip to Kent to visit one of my best friends and her gorgeous new baby girl, Ava. Because of all of this excitement, I wasn't able to post my Anyone for Anya DT card yesterday..... sorry teamies! The theme this week is 'Anything Goes' so you can basically do whatever you like ☺. BTW, we are sponsored by the wonderful Mo's Digital Pencil

It is a nice and simple layout this one but the paper is so gorgeous, I didn't want to cover it up too much! Also, I know this stamp isn't technically very Christmasy but I've decided that as long as it has Christmas paper and a Christmas sentiment - anything goes!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Dahlia by The Greetings Farm, from Dies to Die For
Paper: Jolly by Golly - Cosmo Cricket.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Nesties and ribbon from stash.

OK, that is it from me. I'll be back later today with day 7 of the Whimsy advent calendar!

Just Magnolia & Stamp with Fun Combo

I am totally loving this new Bristol Board I've acquired, I'm having so much fun colouring! I've got a day off tomorrow so I might nip back in the shop to see if I can grab some more whilst it is cheap ☺. I do like a bargain I have to say! That said, the image I've used for todays card was actually stamped on SU! card and was very kindly sent to me by the lovely Sarah....

Isn't this image adorable?! An oldie but a goodie I feel. The picture is a bit iffy as I tarted it up at work and the software I have there isn't quite as good as the one I use at home so I've lost much of the sparkle on the snowflake. You get the general idea though!

I am also able to enter this one in a to a few challenges, which is very nice! I not only followed the fabby sketch over at Just Magnolia, but I have also satisfied the christmas theme at Stamp with Fun.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Magnolia.
Paper: DCWV - Rose Tinted Christmas - Available from Dies to Die For.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: MS Border Punch & Sizzix snowflake.

Another Christmas card down - woohoo!

Copic Colour Challenge #42

Howdy folks, only me again! Today I'm back with my DT card for Copic Colour Challenge. This week, the colours are YR04, RV06 and YG03. We are sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs this week and the DT were lucky enough to get to play with some of Lindsay's gorgeous images - I LOVE them! I made my girlie in a Martini glass even more glamourous by adding some fishnet stockings to her. Ali took a particular liking to this card and has renamed this image 'Racey Stacey'! *Sigh* If Only I looked that good in fishnets!

I am also going to enter this card in to this week's A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge as the theme this week is to make a Christmas card using non-traditional colours. Well, I think pink, orange and lime green are fairly non-traditional, don't you?!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Sexy Lady Martini Pin-Up from Sassy Studio Designs.
Sentiment: Rubber Romance.
Paper: Basic Grey - Sultry.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Embellishments: Gems from stash.

OK, it is time for spinning so I had better dash now. Having said that, my chest is really sore and tight today, so I fear I may keel over before the end of the class!

Take care one and all,

Whimsy Advent Event - Day 1!

***** CANDY DRAW NOW CLOSED! *****

Hello and welcome to day one of the Whimsy Stamps Advent Event..... try saying that fast! During the lead up to Christmas, each of the DT will be taking it in turns to post some Whimsy inspiration for you and every day, a little Whimsy treat will be won by 1 lucky person! I am the advent treat giver today and I will be giving away this gorgeous Whimsy reindeer!

Isn't he adorable?! To be in with a shot of winning him, all you need to do is leave your name with Mr Linky below and I will draw a winner tomorrow morning. Simple huh?! Now, on to my card!

I've seen a few cards lately where people have layered up their card using these Cosmo Cricket papers and have created rolling hills. I loved the look that they created and thought those fab hills would be perfect for my Whimsy snowman! Due to my awful photography skills, you can't really see the effect on the photo above but {hopefully} you will be able to see it a bit better on the picture below!

I also managed to beat my fear of the Flower Soft! I got in a heck of a mess creating this snowflake but I really think it was worth it as I love the final look!

Goodie List........
Stamps: N'ice Friends by Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: 'Jolly by Golly' from Cosmo Cricket.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Polar White Flowersoft, snowflake punchie, button and twine from stash.

OK, so that is it from me! Make sure you check out the Whimsy homepage for more updates and further details about the advent schedule. Also make sure that you leave your name with Mr Linky below to be in with a chance of winning that wonderful Whimsy Reindeer stamp!

Thanks for stopping by today, hope to see you again soon!

Triple Challenge Combo Monday!

So, lets see if I can do a little bit better this week and can get all the way to the weekend, posting every day?! The first card I have to show you manages to include 3 challenges - I'm feeling very pleased with myself, I can tell you ☺......

The fabulous sketch - this is a corker which I am keeping on file to use again!

Favourite Things - As you all know, I LOVE my Zoe Pearn papers, and this set is no exception!

Christmas Card

So there we go! There is my bright and bold creation! I've switched the card that I am stamping on and I have to say, I'm really impressed. I managed to get an A4 pad of Bristol Board in my local art shop for about £5, which was a bargain really as I've not seen it below £7/8 before. However, I really do think it was worth it as I'm blending much better. What do you reckon?

Goodie List........
Stamps: Christmas Time by CC Designs, from Dies to Die For.
Paper: Kitsch Christmas by Zoe Pearn, from Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash.

Ok, I make that lunch time. Covent Garden soup, here I come!

Anyone for Anya? Another FAB Dawny P sketch!

Ok, Ok, I failed... I only managed to post Sunday - Thursday last week! Still not bad for a slacker blogger though is it?! Well, I'm back today with my DT offering for Anyone for Anya? This week, we have another soo-pah sketch by the one and only Dawny P. It is a nice and easy one so there should be no excuse for you not to all join in! Especially as we are sponsored by Stemples & Zo, who are offering a very scrummy prize!

For once, I decided to make a boy card! I find them hideously hard but hey, I could do with the practice, right?! On the up side, I can also enter this one in to this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge as the brief is to make a card for a young laddie... this one counts, I hope!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamp: My Guy Autumn by The Greeting Farm.
Sentiment: MFT Sassy Sentiments.
Paper: You Rock! by Zoe Pearn, from Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch.

Seeing as the weather is blinkin' awful AGAIN, I am going to take the opportunity to get going on my 'bulk' christmas cards. I've realised that there is no way I will be able to make about 30 more individual ones in time as I have left it far too late. So my plan is to make little batches of a few different designs to help top me up. Fingers crossed it all works out OK!
Hope you are all having a fantabulous Sunday!

Whimsy Holiday Card Contest!

The wonderful Whimsy Stamps has now been up and running for a whole year and to celebrate that and the forthcoming festive season, Whimsy are running a holiday card competition! All you need to do is to make a holiday themed card using your favourite Whimsy stamps by Saturday 12 December and you could be in with a shot at winning a $50 shopping spree in the Whimsy online store! For all the details, take a hop, skip and jump over to the Whimsy homepage. We can't wait to see what you create!

Whilst we are on the subject of Whimsy, I thought I would share one of my latest DT cards with you. I have always loved this stamp so I was so pleased to get him inky. I used the layout from Sketch Saturday as my base and used yet more papers that I have had sat festering in a box somewhere! As the challenge this week at the Whimsy Challenge Blog is to make a christmas card, I think this card will qualify as my entry!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Whimsy Moose' by Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: Dovecraft?! Maybe.... not sure really!
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Ribbon and Stickled snowflakes from stash.

Hope you are all having a lovely evening. I'm off to make some smoked haddock fish cakes for tea.... not that I've been dreaming about them all day or anything....!

Copic Colour Challenge 41

It's Wednesday again which means that it is time for another fab colour combo from the Copic Colour Challenge, so lets give those Copics some exercise! Woo-hoo! The combo this week is gorgeous - E29, YR16 and G99. I was a bit rubbish and only had the G99 and so had to improvise with the others. No worries though as it is all allowed in the rules! We are sponsored by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps this week so I thought it was only right that I use one of their fantabulous images on my card ....

I followed the Friday Sketchers sketch for this one. An oldie but certainly a goodie! I also did a bit of sponging again around the outside of the image. I'm really quite liking this effect at the moment. In fact, I like it so much that when I don't do it, I start thinking my card looks a little naked! I know, I'm bonkers. ☺

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Posy' by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - from Dies to Die For.
Paper: 'Boo to You' by MME, from Dies to Die For.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Versamagic in 'Thatched Straw' & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Nestabilities, Card Candy from Craftword Cards and ribbon from stash.

By the way, did you receive the latest Dies to Die For newsletter? Tracy is going to be stocking Copics soon! Yippee! The good news is that the DT are working hard to put together their favourite colour combos so that you will be able to buy them in sets that actually work. Great for those of you who are just starting out, or even those of you who are already Copic fans but just fancy mixing up your colour combos! So exciting! ☺

Right, enough waffling. See you soon!

A Whiff of Joy

Well, day 2, and here I am again! It's going well this posting every day malarky.... so far anyway! It is ages since I joined in at the Whiff of Joy challenge blog but when I saw the fab sketch they had this week, I just had to play!

This card is full of neglected stash! I bought this stamp last year but think I have only ever used it once - how naughty is that?! No idea why either as I really love it. Even the paper has been sat in a box, untouched for a year. Feeling very pleased that I was able to use both on this card ☺

Goodie List........
Stamp: Carol Singing Charlotte by Whiff of Joy.
Sentiment: Imaginisce Snag 'Em.
Paper: 'The Winter Matstack' by DCWV
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Nestabilities, MS punched border strip, ribbon and button from stash.

Thanks for stopping by today. So sorry I've not been leaving comments on your blogs of late - I'm hoping to put that right this week sometime! Thanks for sticking by me, you lovely crafty chums ☺

Simon Says Stamp

Howdy folks. I realised at the weekend that the only cards I've been posting are challenge DT ones, so this week I am going to try and sort that out. So.... (she says holding her breath!), I am going to try and post every day this week and join in a few more fun challenges ☺. Wish me luck!

Kicking things off, I thought I'd share the card that I made for my Mum's birthday. As the theme this week at Simon Says Stamp is 'Animal Antics', I think this little bad boy works perfectly! It may seem a strange card to give your Mum for her birthday, but she is desperate for a Chihuahua and is actually on the waiting list with the Chihuahua rescue people. Fingers crossed she gets her pup before Christmas as she is totally desperate for one!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Spike' - It's All in the Accessories by Mo Manning.
Paper: Basic Grey - Urban Prairie
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash.

Right, that's it from me for today - see you tomorrow!

Anyone for Anya? - Make a Fake!

Whoopsie-daisy.... I got so caught up in my little craft fest that I totally forgot to post my Anyone for Anya DT card! This week, we want you to make a fake. So bring on the faux stitching and handmade flowers and stuffs. Tracy at Dies to Die For is our sponsor this week and she is offering the most gorgeous Greetings Farm stamp as a prize. To be in with a shot of winning, bring on that fakery!

I spotted this new Anya in the digi section of the Greeting Farm website and I just had to have it! Just check out those Uggs.... isn't she the cutest?!

My fakery is obviously the faux stitching. However, I guess you could say that the paper is fake as well as it is the digi version of the MME stuff, not the real version!

The eagle eyed among you will note that I used the Mojo Monday sketch for this one. I also reckon this is pretty teenagery and so I am going to try my luck with Cute Card Thursday this week too!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamp: Miss Anya Autumn from The Greetings Farm.
Paper: Little Joys by Zoe Pearn, from Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Nestabilities, ribbon and button from stash.

Right, I'm off to watch Top Gear - see you soon gorgeous girlies!

Copic Colour Challenge 40

Just a VERY quick one from me today as I am sneakily posting at work again - oops! Am stupidly behind with everything at the moment as we have had about 8 swimming filled weekends on the bounce and, as this is when I do the majority of my crafting, I'm now struggling to keep up!

Anyway, enough of my whining. Here is my card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge. The colours this week are RV23, YG06 and YR04 and we are sponsored by the super-dooper InStyle Stamps.

I am amazed this card looks this neat actually as I made it in 40 minutes last night before bed! Can't wait until the weekend when I can have a proper craft fest!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Sarah' by InStyle.
Paper: 'Tutti Frutti' by Zoe Pearn, Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash.

Right gotta dash - it's time for spinning!

Anyone for Anya - Getting Round to It

A flying post from me today I'm afraid as I'm actually posting this on Saturday, just before we fly out of the door to another 2 swimming competitions! This weekend, we will be taking in the (probably wet and windy) sights of Croydon, Dartford and Enfield - lucky us eh?! M3 and M25.... in this weather! ARGH!

Anyone, enough waffling. I want to share with you my DT card for this weeks Anyone for Anya? challenge. The theme is 'Getting Round to It' and we want you to use as many round things on your card as possible. We are sponsored by Paper & Pictures this week so make sure you join in!

Do you think I used enough round stuff? Round nesties, round gems, round button, round spots on my ribbon.... I tried really hard!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamps: 'Alice Anya' by The Greeting Farm.
Digi Paper: 'A Colorful Christmas' from Designer Digitals.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Nesties, button, ribbon and gems from stash.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend and that the sun is shining wherever you are.

P.S. Thanks so much to all of you who visit my blog regularly and leave such lovely comments. I'm aware I've been a terrible blogging buddy lately, so I really appreciate each and every one of you for sticking by me ~♥~

Copic Colour Challenge 39

Sorry I'm a little late in posting this weeks Copic Colour Challenge card. I couldn't get my act together this morning to schedule it and unfortunately, I was actually working at work today! Work is such a pain, don't you think?! Ah well, at least it keeps stash on the table ;o)

The colour combo this week is rather a bold one - G05, R29 and Y08. Unfortunately, I had a little bit of trouble with it so I was pretty pleased when I was able to knock something together that I wasn't totally appalled by!

I couldn't find any ribbon in my stash to match my card so I got colouring some plain white satin ribbon with my Copic markers. Works a treat but it doesn't half make the ribbon go crunchy! Also attempted a bit of sponging around the image and tried to use the Flowersoft again.... with varying success!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Nora by CC Designs, in stock at Dies to Die For.
Paper: 'Fairy Lights' by Pink Petticoat.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: MS BP Punched strip (thanks Sheila!), ribbon and button from stash.

Anyway, I'm off to do a spot of crafting now as the laptop is playing havoc with the internet connection and Ali is struggling to play his new Call of Duty game online!

Denise and the DT are SUPER excited about this release as we have got to play with Whimsy's brand new line, designed by none other than Crissy Armstrong! What a phenomenal talent that lady is! I am personally LOVING the new images - expect to see my blog smothered in them soon ☺. And on that note, here is my blog hop card.....

Isn't this the cutest thing you have ever seen?! And what is more this stamp is totally versatile - combine it with different papers and you have yourself a birthday card for a card lover!
