Anyone for Anya? A Dawny P Sketch!

Morning folks! How can it be Sunday already? The days are literally flying at the moment, I don't feel like I have enough time to fit everything in. Which leads me on to my next apology - so sorry I've been such a bad blogger of late.... my Google Reader is going nuts with all of your beautiful creations but I just haven't had chance to stop by. I tell you, it's got so bad, I barely got time to read Twlight last week.... I know! Shocking right?! Well, to console myself, I managed to squeeze a little bit of my obsession into my DT card for this weeks Anyone for Anya? card. Meet Edward!

I could have given Tracy a huge smacker when she sent him to me - isn't he adorable?! And weirdly, he made me make a boy card when I didn't have to! It's a miracle, I tell you :o) This is also my entry in to this weeks A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge, where the challenge is 'Freestyle'.

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Edward' by the Greetings Farm, on offer at Dies to Die For.
Paper: Sweet Shoppe Designs Quarterly Assortment - Vol 2, 2008.
Copic Colours: E00, E11, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E50, B91, B93, B95, B97, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Craftwork Cards 'Card Candy'.

Thanks for stopping by at my blog today and I really hope I can return the favour in the coming days :o)

Copic Colour Challenge #49

Happy Hump Day! At least it is all downhill to the weekend now, right? More time to read the last book and a half of the Twilight saga! Mwah-haha. Totally obsessed now. Have watched the film more times than I care to admit and am currently bouncing around listening to the amazing soundtrack. Love it. And yes, I really am that sad!

I did just about manage to drag a book out of my hands long enough to make my DT card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge, and I have to say, I'm pleased I did as I really like how it came out!

I picked the colours this week and I went for ones which I thought people would find easy - E00, R02 and E33 (skin tone and hair colour?), but the feedback from the CCC DT is that they really struggled! So I really hope that you all forgive me for my weird combo ☺

Goodie List........
Stamps: Bubbly Bears by Penny Johnson - available from Dies to Die For.
Paper: Bloom and Grow - My Minds Eye - available from Dies to Die For.
Copic Colours: C1, C3, C5, C7, W1, W3, W5, W7, R02, R20, R22, E00, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37.
Tools & Embellishments: Sentiment by Pink Cat Studio.

This is also my entry for this weeks Papertake challenge. Another of Dawny P's wonderful sketches that I just had to play with!

Whimsy Snickerdoodle Snowball Fight!

Welcome to the Whimsy Stamps Snickerdoodle snowball fight! If you have arrived here from Sharon's blog, that is perfect. If not, you need to go right back to the beginning, back to Deb's lovely crafting home!

Today we are show casing the wonderful new stamps designed for Whimsy by the amazing Crissy Armstrong. There are three stamps in the new range which is called the Snickerdoodle Kids Collection. It was hard to choose which stamp to ink up first but I settled for the super fun 'Sledding with Marty & Max'....

Isn't this fun?! I was really proud of myself for busting my new sewing machine out on this card. I've only been using it on fabric lately as last time I used it on card I nearly killed it! I managed to pluck up the courage though and it seemed to work fine this time - aside from my wonky stitching that is ☺

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Sledding with Marty and Max' - available from Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: Cosmo Cricket 'Jolly by Golly'.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Sewing machine and ribbon from stash.

So that's it from me! Where to now?! Well, why don't you pay a little visit to Lisa's blog to check out more of these fabulous Snickerdoodle designs?!

One last thing...you might want to make sure that you pay attention to and comment on the snowball posts of the DT members as there is a $50 Whimsy voucher up for grabs, more stamps hidden along the way, as well as spot prizes over on the Whimsy SNR page.....!

Anyone for Anya? Hearts for Hearts Sake

Apologies for the lateness of this post. I'm afraid I have a very new and all consuming obsession...... It all started on Thursday afternoon at work when I had to invigilate an exam for one of my students. Facing 2 hours of utter boredom, I nipped across to the bookshop on campus to pick up something to entertain me. It was then that it happened..... I bought Twilight. Oh. My. Lordy. I know I am years behind everyone else in saying this but I LOVE it! And maybe a certain foxy vampire....! So, since then (except when I was forced to go to work!), I have had my head permanently stuck in a book. Since Thursday, I've read Twilight, Edward's version of Twilight, and also New Moon. I will be starting book 3.... in a minute!

Anyway, if I can focus on this post long enough, I want to share with you my DT card for this week's Anyone for Anya? challenge. The theme is "Hearts for Hearts Sake" - so we want to you create something with as many hearts as possible!

I think I fullfilled the brief on this one as both the image and every sheet of paper that I have used includes hearts somewhere!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Miss Anya Love - available from Dies to Die For.
Paper: Pink Petticoat.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Nesties and EK Success Punch.

Make sure you nip back later today - we have a fun Whimsy snowball fight lined up for you! Now, where did I put that book......

Anyone for Anya? Black, White & One Other

Morning! I'm happy today.... the sun is shining and there is no snow or rain! Amazing how some sunshine perks you up isn't it?! The card I want to share with you today is my DT card for this weeks Anyone For Anya? challenge. We are sponsored by Stempelstudio who are offering this fab prize! To be in with a shot at winning, we want you to create something using just black, white and one other colour (you're allowed skin tones though!). I'm always scared of this type of combo to start with but once I get in to it, I always end up loving the final result! Nice and funky :o)

Every now and then, you make a card that you love. You have no idea why you love it so, you just do. Well, that is how I feel about this one......

As I said, no idea why I love it so much but I keep looking at it and stroking it in a rather disturbing manner! I know, I'm weird....!

I actually made this to fit two challenges this week - Kraftin' Kimmie where the theme is 'Heavy Metal' and ABC where the challenge is to use lots of layers.

Copic Colour Challenge #47

Oh no....just as we thought it was clearing off, we've got yet more flaming snow! Soooo sick of it now! I have zero levels of balance and so getting about is a very risky affair. It might make for pretty Christmas cards, but I now think that is where it should stay!

Anyway, enough of my whining. On to this weeks Copic Colour Challenge! The colours this week are particularly fabulous - B97, YG07 and W5. Total corker huh?! We are also sponsored by the wonderful Whimsy stamps and so my card for this weeks challenge uses some of my Whimsy DT stash!

I used one of the fabulous new carousel images designed by Crissy Armstrong and added lots of Stickles for a little more bling ☺

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Cool Ride' by Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: Designer Digitals.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Nesties and Stickles.

Hope you are well and thank you for popping by today!

Anyone for Anya?! That's Charming....

Crikey, it's flipping freezing here. I am currently wearing a t-shirt, a hoody, a great big outdoors fleece, thick trackie bottoms, slipper socks, fleece slippers, furry knee high boots and a pair of gloves! Yes, I do look silly but I'm so cold, I will try anything! Fingers crossed the big thaw comes soon, I'm getting fed up with this! :o)

Anyway, enough of my whining.... it's Anyone for Anya? time! This week the theme is "That's Charming". Yep, thats right, easy peasy. Just use charms on your card. EVERYONE should be able to join in with this one, right?! Especially as we are sponsored by the ever-so-fabulous Karen's Doodles.

It might be a super simple design, but I really enjoyed making this card! Especially the colouring, LOVED doing the colouring with my beloved Copic markers. That may have been helped by the fact that I have switched cardstock again, thanks to a tip off from my lovely craft chum Marcea. She mentionned the other week that she uses the coated card from Rymans for all of her Copic colouring. Well, imagine how happy I was when I popped into Rymans to discover said card was half price! Yep, £2.99 for 50 A4 silky smooth sheets! Bargainous and totally fab. Thanks for the tip off Marcea!

I am also going to enter this card in to this weeks A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge as the theme is to use 'Hearts' in your design. As I have used a heart charm and have hearts in my paper, I think I qualify to enter!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamp: Dressy Ebony from The Greeting Farm.
Digi Paper: 'Just an Old Fashioned Girl' by Pink Petticoat.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Nestabilities, ribbon, chain and charm from stash.

That's it from me, I'm going to skidadle and continue crafting up a storm. Going to try my hardest to get a few week ahead on my DT cards.Yeah, well, I did say try.....! I'm also trying to get better acquainted with Google Reader in an attempt to stay more up to date with all of your wonderful blogs. It's only day 2 of this plan but going well so far! ;oP

Take care and wrap up warm my lovelies!

Copic Colour Challenge #46

Oh dear, I'm a few days late with this one, even though it was made and ready to go last weekend! Naughty Stacey, completely forgot to upload the flaming picture after work like she promised!

Anyway, I'm here now..... The colours this week over at the Copic Colour Challenge are very pretty - G00, RV21 and B32. Unfortunately, I didn't have all of these colours but I substituted with some that were pretty near.

Apologies for the poor picture, I was forced to take this with my daylight lamp - never comes out anywhere near as well as proper daylight! This is a bit of a different shape for me this card and I have to say, I really like it. It also gave me a chance to play with my previously untouched and brand spanking new Miss Anya's. I just love her hair, she looks like Bo-Peep!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Miss Anya Love' by The Greetings Farm, from Dies to Die For.
Paper: Cosmo Cricket.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Nestabilities, EK Success border punch, Stickles, ribbon, thread and button from stash.

Hope you are all wrapped up warm and safe and away from all of that horrid snow. I'm gutted to say that I've not taken one snow days yet and have traipsed in to work every day so far. So think of me when you are making your next snowman!

Anyone for Anya?! Anything Goes....

Well, who is a cheaty cheater with nobs on, eh?! ME! Yep that's right. Today's DT card for Anyone for Anya is a big fat cheat as it was originally made for the AFA 'Last Christmas' challenge a couple of weeks ago. However, as I got so caught up in driving half way around the south of England visiting family and dropping off presents, I never actually got a chance to post it. Shame on me! But, as I really like my creation, I thought I would share it with you under the guise of todays challenge 'Anything Goes'.....

Well, there it is. I so love these images and these MME papers, I just had to show it to you! The best bit is, as I never got round to actually writing in it, I have officially made my first Christmas card for 2010! Woo-hoo for me!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamp: The Greetings Farm.
Paper: Colorful Christmas by My Minds Eye - from Dies to Die For.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash and a computer generated sentiment.

Make sure you stop by later as I will be one of the stops in the latest Whimsy blog hop, showcasing another series of FABULOUS Crissy Armstrong designs!

Catch you later my sweets,
