Anyone for Anya - Dawny P Sketch Time!

Crikey, it's been a long time since you heard from me, hasn't it? I really felt like I needed to take a bit of a break from crafting as it was starting to feel like a total chore. It was almost as if I was basically on a card making production line, just churning out stuff because I had to, rather than because I wanted to. As this is my hobby rather than my job, this was really bad news! So, I took a little break and also made the huge decision with the rest of the DT to close the Copic Colour Challenge blog. If you've ever run a challenge blog before, you'll know that it truly is a surprisingly huge committment. Well, it is when you also work full time anyway! Therefore, with a teary goodbye, the CCC blog is no more....

However, after my little break, I tentatively pulled out my Copics yesterday and started colouring an image and remembered why I started this hobby - I love it! So I got inky and gluey and made this creation for today's Anyone for Anya challenge.....!

OK, it's not my most favourite card ever but it is actually a card which I did enjoy making! The first time this has happened in a couple of months, I can tell you. I followed this weeks Dawny P sketch as well, which always makes me happy!

The gorgeous MME papers are from the wonderful Tracy over at Dies to Die For. You can find these little beauties HERE. As for your Copics, those are right about..... HERE! You can see the colours I used below.

Goodie List........
Digi Stamps: WS Audrey by The Greeting Farm.
Paper: My Minds Eye - Quite Contrary - Little Boy Blue.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E50, R20, R22, R81, R83, R85, YG03, YG63, YG67, BG15, BG23, BG49, W1, W3, W5, W7 - available HERE from Dies to Die For.
Tools & Embellishments: 'Ticket Sentiments' Stamp available HERE at Whimsy, gems from stash.

I am entering this card in to the following challenges....

Crafty Angels - Teal & Brown.
Simon Says Stamp - Pink or Blue with Green & Brown.

So there we go. I finally made a card! I have the in-laws coming today but I really hope to get a chance to stop by your blogs tonight to catch up with everything you have been up to.

Whimsy Release Party

Hi there! You have just arrived at the final stop on the Whimsy release party! If you hopped here from SIMONNE'S blog, keep reading. However, if you've just stumbled across my little space on the www, please toddle back to CRISSY'S blog at the very start :o)

Today the Whimsy DT are celebrating a brand new carousel horse release. Crissy Armstrong has worked her magic again and has produced two absolutely stunning designs - Proud to Be and Party Pony. Each stamp comes with a couple of sentiments and other little accessory stamps, making each stamp great value for money. I couldn't resist 'Proud to Be' and so this is the one that I have decided to showcase during this hop...

The thing I love about these horses is that you can colour them any way you want! You can either go true to life and make them resemble proper ponies. Or, you can go jazzy.... just like I did! I kind of went slightly patriotic but knew just how I wanted to colour him as soon as I saw him :o)

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Proud to Be', avaiable HERE at Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: 'Cupcake' by Basic Grey.
Copic Markers: E29, E33, E35, E37, E50, E51, E53, R27, R29, YG03, YG63, YG67, B32, B39, B45, Y15, Y17 - available HERE from Dies to Die For.
Tools & Embellishments: Adhesive pearls from stash.

Now, do you want to hear the really good news? I've got one of the new sets to give away! All you need to do is leave a link below and I will draw a winner on the night of Friday 21st May.

Thanks for stopping by today and for your love of all things Whimsy!

Anyone for Anya? - Lucky Numbers!

Afternoon peeps. Blogging has been adandoned again this week, I'm afraid. Crikey, what a couple of days I've had.....

We came home on Thursday night to find our front door literally in tatters. Both the door and the surrounding frame completely in pieces. Amazingly, when we walked in, we found that nothing had been touched. The house still had it's usual scattering of iPods, laptops, cameras, TV's etc etc. We rang the police immediately but whilst we were on the phone, some random man just wandered in the house! To cut a long story short, it turned out that he had only just moved in, is very poorly with sclerosis of the liver (he's an alcoholic) and got confused as to which was his front door. He then managed to convince one of our neighbours that ours was his house and that he'd lost his key. The good samaritan then kicked and hacked our door down, thinking he was doing the poor guy a favour. It was only when they got in and saw a picture of Ali and I and one of my dresses hanging up that they both realised their awful mistake. Since then, the days have gone by in a blur of phone calls and hassle to try and sort out the mess and to arrange for a new door to be fitted. Very upsetting and stressful. I guess we just have to be thankful that it was a mistake and that we weren't actually burgled. Does not make it any easier to deal with though, unfortunately.... :o(

Anyway, enough moaning. On to my card for this weeks Anyone for Anya challenge! This week we are sponsored by Jacobi and the theme is Lucky Numbers. Yep, all you have to do is make sure you include a number somewhere on your creation.

I thought outside of the box a little and used a sentiment stamp from Whimsy with numbers in it. I adore this new TGF image, just don't look too closely as it is bleed central in certain areas. Naughty cardstock wanted to eat up my Copics!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Buddies' by The Greeting Farm, available here at Dies to Die For.
Sentiment: Whimsy Circle Postmarks from Whimsy Stamps.

Paper: Stampin' Up!
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E50, E51, E53, R32, R35, R37, R59, B60, B63, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Buttons from stash, MS Valentine Lace Border Punch, Craftwork Cards Scalloped Edge CardsMS Bakers Twine - all available from Dies to Die For.

Right, thats is all from me, gotta go and tend to the roast chicken! Well, I need the energy as I've just signed up to the gym to try and get fit for the summer. Think of me at 6am tomorrow morning when you are lounging in bed and I'm killing myself on the treadmill.....!

Anyone for Anya? - Lotsa Layers!

Hello my lovely crafty friends. Isn't it typical that the weather turns as soon as we get a bank holiday?! I have my friends little girls christening today in Kent and so Ali and I have booked a swanky hotel so that we can make a weekend of it. Can't wait!

Well, as it is Sunday, that means that I have an Anyone for Anya? card for you! The theme is 'Lotsa Layers' so we want to see as many layers as possible on all of your cards. As I was short of time again this week, I unfortunately didn't get time to make a card specifically for this challenge. So, I rummaged through the pile of cards I have never got round to blogging (I know, ridculous!) and whipped out this little lovely....

Yep, I made this last Christmas and still haven't shown it to you! But, as this is the first time you've all seen it, it makes it a new card in my book!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Heidi with Ornament - available from Dies to Die For.
