Remember I said that this is the year me and my friends turn 30? Well, here is another card for just one of those occasions!

There are two little challenges bundled in to this card....

Final Guest Spot with Some Odd Girl
Today is my last challenge as a guest designer for Some Odd Girl. I've really loved my time 'officially' playing with the SOG images and I'm sad to be leaving. I want to say a big thank you to Kristy and the other Odd ladies for having me! You can bet your life that you will continue to see Odd Girl goodness on my blog forever more :o)
Anyway, the challenge over at SOG this week is to create your own embellishments. I decided to whip out my blossom nesties and created a layered up paper flower.
Annoyingly, I'm not that happy with my card! I don't like my colouring and the ribbon has gone wonky beneath the image! I know, I'm too fussy...!
Stamps: 'Angel Kaylee' by Some Odd Girl.
Paper: 'Tickled Pink' by MME.
Copic Markers: E00, E02, E11, E25, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E50, R81, R83, R85, YG03, YG23, BG72, BG75, W1, W3, W5, W7 - available HERE from Dies to Die For.
Tools & Embellishments: Stickles, Blossom Nestabilities, gems, ribbon, twine, buttons and felt from stash.
Thanks for stopping by today. I'm on holiday next week, so I hope to catch up with all your blogs then!

Some Odd Girl.....GDT.....Little Project!
Happy Monday everyone! Life seems to have returned to warp speed for me at the moment, so please excuse the sporadic posting! Unbelievably, this madness is totally caused by the fact that I've booked a week off work next week. It just seems daft that I will probably end up working stupid hours this week, just to have a week off next week! Anyhow, enough moaning....!!!
I have a special little project to share with you today. As you know, I am guest designed with Some Odd Girl for the month of February. When she offered me the GDT spot, Kristy asked me to make 1 extra special project. This got me thinking (and panicking!) right away and I started prowling around the house, looking for something to alter. Then I stumbled across a boring, black A5 folder that has been unused, gathering dust for the last couple of years. A plan was cunningly hatched.....!
As I always seem to be watching my weight (NOTE: I don't eat particularly bad stuff, I just have portion control issues!) I thought it would be a great idea to make a little food journal so that I can jot everything down. I figured that if it looked pretty, I might be a little more inclined to make use of it. Baker Kaylee seemed the perfect choice for this project, even if she is tempting me to eat muffins!
I also decorated the spine of the folder using a SOG cupcake which I resized and repeated to make a little border. I thought this might help to make my folder stand out when it is stored on a shelf.
Goodie List........
Stamps: Baker Kaylee and Cupcake - both Some Odd Girl.
Paper: October Afternoon - Fly a Kite.
Copic Markers: E00, E02, E11, E41, E43, E47, E49, E50, R20, R22, R27, R29, YG03, YG63, YG67, BG13, BG15, BG23, BG49, Y21, Y26, YR23, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Doodlebug rub-ons, Nesties, sewing machine and ribbon from stash.
The challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar this week is "Anything but a card", so I think I will enter my folder in to the draw
I hope you enjoyed seeing my little project. Make sure you nip over to Some Odd Girl to check out their fantastic goodies.... there is even a sale on!

I'll Miss You a Latte!
My card today features one of the fabulous "A La Mode" stamps from My Favorite Things - Miss You a Latte. I made it for one of my colleagues who moved on to pastures new this week.
I've also whipped out some of the green MME Lush papers and layered them up with some Bazzill Kraft card. Now, these are lovely but, guess what? There are NEW Lush papers out! Check out the new Lush 2 range here. Here is a little peek at the inside....
I carried on with the MME Lush papers, teamed with the Kraft card and also stamped up one of the sentiments that comes in the "Miss You a Latte" set. What do you think of the fab notebook edge? This is another MFT item..... Die-Namics Notebook Edge. I love the effect it gives :o)

Valentines Bear
Oh man, it took me ages to edit this pic! The image kept coming out all milky and horrible so I googled instructions on how to darken specific areas in photoshop. After much fiddling, I think it looks a little better.

PaperPlay - Stamp it Out.
Do You Stack Up? - Red Hot.
Stampin' for the Weekend - Valentine's Day.
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Valentines.
Crazy 4 Challenges - Valentines.

Sooo Much Better!
Now this is more like it. See, I told you yesterday that I would be back with something much nicer today, didn't I?!
This feels much more me! I love this paper, got to play with my sewing machine and am dead chuffed with how my colouring ended up on my puss-cat!
Also, what do you think of my fabby notebook edge? Well it's a new toy.... It's a Die-Namics die. It's wafer thin, goes through your die cutting machine cuts through loads of stuff! The good news is that this, and many other designs, are available exclusively from the very fabulous Tracy at Dies to Die For.
Goodie List........
Stamps: Motivet digi image.
Paper: 'Girl Friday' by Cosmo Cricket.

Eurgh.... this is horrid.
I think everyone will agree with this sentiment. Sometimes we make cards we like. Sometimes we make cards we love. However, sometimes, for no particular reason, a card which started with such promise, morphs itself into something we hate. This is one of those cards.

I have no idea why I dislike this monstrosity so much, I just do. In fact the only reason I am sharing it with you is because it fits in with this weeks Just Magnolia challenge (Going Dotty) and also the sketch over at Cute Card Thursday.
Anyway, I'm clearing off now as I can't bear to look at it any longer. Rest assured I will be back tomorrow with something a millions times more attractive!
