Looks a bit Tatty.....

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear......... Can't seem to do anything right at the moment. Tried using the lovely Tilda stamped image that Chris gave me as part of my PIF candy but fear I haven't done it justice.

In my first attempt at the circle behind the central image, I tried to ink the edge of the card to give it a bit more definition. Unfortunately, the card soaked up the ink so quickly, I got myself in a right mess. So I had to make another one. What then annoyed me even more was that I'd ruined my last piece of card that was the 'right colour'. Argh! I went for the next best thing but now think the inking looks uneven because I was being so cautious. Then, I'd just finished it when Ali came in and said "Ah, she's floating". Thats when it dawned on me that I should have put the dotty circle on 3D foam pads so that Tilda would actually be 'sitting' on the edge of the circle. To top it all off, I somehow managed to crease the top right hand corner of the blank. Classy. Not a good nights work........ However, despite my overall dislike for the card, I still like the Tilda image! Oh, and the buttons!

Does anyone else ever have times when everything they try goes wrong?! Please do tell me if you do - it might make me feel slightly less useless, especially on the back of last weeks missing mojo!

By the way, I promise I haven't forgotten about the PIF - I was waiting for a few little things to arrive in the post. However, they are here now so {hopefully} I should be able to offer a little candy to 3 lucky people tomorrow night.

Take care one and all,

Gorgeous card - I love the greens and Tilda is adorable. I have too many cards that have not turned out like I expected or done what I wanted to mention! Mistakes are good, as I keep telling myself!! (lol)
Great blog.

Well, she certainly worked out in the end, she is just gorgeous. Most of my cards have a strategic button/brad/ribbon that are covering up mistakes. There is blog candy up for grabs on my blog, come and take a look.

Hi Stacey, I think your card is Fab. I often take ages over a card and then hate it when I have finished. The most annoying thing I have done is make a perfect card then have managed to drop my ink pad on it. That is really annoying! So your not the only one. Maria x

Everyone makes 'happy accidents' not mistakes - your card is gorgeous - you are being too critical! I'm sure anyone would be overjoyed to receive such a lovely card. Love the colouring in particular.

This is lovely Stacey! I often make mistakes too and end up pulling things back off the card. I am not too sure about inking either. sometimes I ink something that has taken ages to make then end up scrapping it as I don't think it looks right.I think I prefer the clean fresh look to be honest. Your colouring is lovely and the layout is fab, well done, you got there in the end!X

It is lovely! Only you see all those little things, the rest of us would never have known! I do the same thing with my creations too!

Well I think she is fabulous. I think we all have days when everything you touch goes wrong.
A tip for inking if you ink is very wet use a make up sponge and test it on a scrap of paper first.

This is such a cute stamp. Liked the idea of sitting her inside the circle.
