Copic Colour Challenge 37

Hey folks, so sorry I've not been around much lately. We went away to Sheffield for a swimming competition this weekend as it has put me all behind with everything! Luckily though, I have just about squeezed in enough time to make my card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge. The colours this week are E33, R20 and YG06. We are very proud to say that, this week, we are sponsored by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! For me, that was the perfect excuse to ink this little cutie up!

Isn't she the bestest?! Apologies for the terrible picture though. This one was taken this morning with my daylight lamp and a lot of Paintshop enhancement. Just not the same as proper daylight though is it? With all these dark morning and evenings, I'm a bit limited for good photo opportunities.... going to have to start taking everything to work I think so that I can get snappy at lunchtime!

The Whimsy Blog Hop Starts Here!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #71

I've always had a bit of a mental block when it comes to Penny Black stamps.... I just can't seem to colour the little blighters. So when Tracy sent me the new Tiny Wishes set in my latest DT pack, I was determined to face my demons. And do you know what? ...... I think I succeeded!

However, I think I was probably helped along the way by the fab sketch over on the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week. I've always wanted to join in, but have never been able to in the past. Hurrah for me! :o)

Copic Colour Challenge 36

Sorry for the slightly late post, I've just had Spinning and I'm cream crackered! Really need to have a kip now, sooooo tired! The good news is that after today, I'm off for 5 whole days - woohoo!

Right, down to business. It's Wednesday, which means that it is Copic Colour Challenge time! This week we are sponsored by the wonderful InStyle stamps and the lovely Virginia has provided the DT with images to use - cool huh?! The colours this week are G99, V17 and YR68....

This card started as a total disaster and was then rescued slightly when it became it's current state! To start with, I had nothing in the top right hand corner. I kinda thought something was missing but decided less was more. Ali then said, "it needs something in the top right hand corner". Grrr.... So I added a sentiment. DISASTER! Looked blinkin' awful. So I ended up ripping it (and half of the Doodlebug paper) off and covering the remaining mess with this huge bow ensemble! The things we go through for our art eh?!

Anyone for Anya? Autumn Colours

Hello lovely ladies! Hope you are all enjoying the weekend and that the sun is shining wherever you are! I'm home alone today so I have been crafting in front of the TV watching last nights X-Factor..... bliss :o) As it is Sunday, I have something to share with you..... my Anyone for Anya? DT card! The theme this week is 'Autumn Colours' so drag out all of those rusty colours and get those cards made pronto!

Friday Sketchers 73

I'm pleased to report that the bath last night really did the trick! No back ache this morning and only slightly heavy legs. Amazing what a little bit of hot water and some bubble bath can do isn't it?!

I know I don't normally post so close together but I'm getting fed up of making cards for challenges and then missing the deadline of the challenge! As the new sketch for Friday Sketchers will be out tomorrow, I thought I had better show you now what I did with last weeks sketch!

As soon as I saw this one, I thought 'Bookmark'. So that is what I made! It's not quite finished yet though as I'm planning to take it in to work to laminate it so that it lasts a bit longer!

Copic Colour Challenge 35

Wednesday already?! This week is literally flying past! Today I want to share with you the card I have made for challenge 35 over at the Copic Colour Challenge. There is even more reason to play along this week as we are sponsored by the brilliant Whiff of Joy! There is a rather gorgeous stamp of Henry ice skating on offer so I hope lots of you are able to join us. The colour combo this time is G05, R27 and BG05 and I have to admit I struggled a bit with it - as you can probably tell from the card below!

I am determined to get myself organised so I am actually typing this up on Saturday night whilst watching the X Factor. Blimey, those judges are bickering tonight aren't they?! And what's Cheryl done to upset Simon?! Anyway...... Anyone for Anya? This week, we're paper piecing!

It's pretty rare for me to say this but..... I love how this one came out! I don't know if it is the funky papers or what but I likes it alot! AND, I can enter it in to a few more challenges as I followed Dawny's Papertake sketch and I used the charms that were required for Cute Card Thursday.

Copic Colour Challenge #34

Phew! I'm a little bit late posting but at least I am posting on the right day for the challenge this time! The colours this week over at the Copic Colour Challenge are perfect for Christmas cards so I thought I would get my bum in gear and start making mine!

Isn't this stamp adorable?! It is one of my new ones from Tracy at Dies to Die For. I love this cutie and was so happy that I got a chance to ink him up! BTW, check me out, I even liquid appliqued the fur on his hat for an extra fluffy effect!

It's Just Basic ABC....

OMG, I am totally cream crackered already and I still have to get through today, the BIG day. Lets just hope everything goes smoothly and I can leg it out of the door at 4.30pm this afternoon as usual! Strangly, even though I am completely exhausted by the time I get home, I have still been crafting most evenings this week - more than usual actually! Now, this could be because I am massively behind with my responsibilities (!) or it could just be that it is de-stressing me... Who knows? But here is a 'just for fun' offering for you.......

I dug out one of my Cuttlebug embossing folders for this one and as I was using some Core'dinations cardstock, I was able to sand it with an emery board to highlight it a bit. I am also able to enter this card over at both Basic Grey and ABC as they are challenging us to emboss this week.
