Copic Colour Challenge 58

Happy Wednesday! Just limping through the remaining week, desperate for my holidays now. Work is insane (every deadline seems to be on the same blinkin' day!) and we are also in the midst of a mass restructure and so everything seems extra draining. Which may be the reason that my poor fella went via Waitrose on the way home from work just to buy me a nice bottle of wine! Just have to keep reminding myself that I just have one more day to get through before I can scarper for a whole week :o)

As it is Wednesday, it is also Copic Colour Challenge day. This week, we are sponsored by the incredibly talented Michelle Perkett. Trust me, you are going to want to have a look at this lovely lady's images - very cool! As for the colours this week.... I had to make it all up a bit! I didn't have any of the colours that had been chosen! Consequently, I went for something near-ish......

I absolutely love this cute CC Designs image - it can be used for so many occasions. Just what I like from my stamps! You can buy this lovely little lady from Tracy at Dies to Die For right here.

As the challenge over at Papertake is 'Anything Goes' this week, I will also be entering this card over there. Well, it would be rude not to, wouldn't it?!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Darby & Bumbles by CC Designs, from Dies to Die For.
Sentiment: Whimsy Snippets Set 1 by Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: MME Bloom & Grow, available here at Dies to Die For.
Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Ribbon and button from stash.

So thats all from me today. See you tomorrow with another little make :o)

Whimsy Spring Baby

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm all excited today as I only have 2 days left of work before having a week off. Woo-hoo! I'm scheduling in some crafting, some clothes shopping, some eating, some crafting, some craft shopping and some more eating.... You get the idea!
Today I've got a wonderful Whimsy image to share with you! Our stupendously talented illustrator, Crissy Armstrong, has excelled herself again with this gorgeously clever carousel horse. Don't you just love the way the little foal nestles in against her Mum? Too cute!

I've realised lately that I am ridiculously predictable with colour. I always go for pinks and greens and yellows and turquoises..... Note to self: be more adventurous with colour!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Proud Mamma by Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: Doodlebug.
Copic Colours: C1, C3, C5, C7, E31, E33, E35, E37, R81, R83, R85, YG03, YG63, YG67, Y17, Y21.
Tools & Embellishments: Card candy.

I'm also entering this card in to a few challenges.....

Simon Says Stamp - Easter or Spring with Some Glimmer
Although you can't see it from this picture, there is actually glitter on the white frilly bit around the saddle. And I used some sparkly Core'dinations Gemstone cardstock too.

One Stop Crafts - Feeling Fruity
I went for colour scheme rather than edible stuff, obviously!

Charisma Cardz - Spring Has Sprung

Stamp Something - Doodling

I hope everyone is enjoying the week and that you are all looking forward to that fabulous bank holiday weekend!

Goodie List........
Stamps: The Greeting Farm.
Paper: My Minds Eye 'Quite Contrary - Mary Mary'.

Copic Colour Challenge 57

Oh my word, the week is flying past in a total blur. I just can't keep up at the moment! Consequently, this card was made at about 11pm last night.... nothing like a little bit of pressure now, is there?!

The challenge this week at CCC is to use G99, BV08 and E59. This isn't a combo I'd generally use a lot but I actually really enjoyed playing with it :o)
I also used the fab Dawny P sketch over at Papertake this week. I've said it before but I love Dawny's sketches - always so simple yet perfect! The sketch also gave me the perfect opportunity to use one of the gorgeous new images from CC Designs. All of these fab new stamps are available here from Dies to Die For.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Party Emma - available here.
Sentiment: Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: Making Memories.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.

Right, thats it from me. I'm really hoping I am going to get a chance to come and visit you all in the next day or so. I've got withdrawl symptoms from your lovely creations!

AFA, ASFS and a BIG Growl at Blogger!

Howdy peeps! Well, I made it through the weekend. A fab time was had by all and there was much silliness and giggling - just what you want from a hen night really! Totally cream crackered though so feel I may have to have an early night tonight ☺. I've updated my profile pic with one of the photos of me from the night but, for your entertainment, will try and get another more amusing one on here later in the week.

Now. On to my grumble..... I'm really piddled off with Blogger! Because I've been a bit busy lately, I've scheduled quite a few posts. Every time, I've change the date and time, clicked the publish button and then double checked that it has 'scheduled' next to the post in the 'edit posts' section. The only problem is, Blogger keeps taking it upon itself to change the scheduled post back to draft form and subsequently doesn't bother posting it! GGRRR! Is anyone else having this problem? It's so intermittent, it's driving me crazy!

Because of this, my Anyone for Anya DT card has not posted this week! In addition, whilst trying to sort this out, I realised my GDT card for A Spoon Full of Sugar last Tuesday didn't post either! I'm so annoyed! Huge apologies teamies, so sorry my cards haven't been where they should have been when they should have been.

So, better late than never, here they are..........!

Anyone For Anya?
This week at AFA we are sponsored by one of my favourite ladies - Tracy at Dies to Die For - and we want you to create something Egg-stra Special! You could make an Easter card or just incorporate ovals in your design. All we ask is that you use your Greeting Farm stamps.

I was a little bit stumped with this one and so got my thinking cap on! I ended up altering one of the new TGF digi images and adding some Easter eggs. Please don't look too closely at those eggs, there are some very funny shapes in there!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamps: Freaky Flutter by The Greeting Farm
Paper: Pink Petticoat.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E43, E47, E49, E50, R20, R22, R81, R83, R85, Y17, Y21, YG03, YG63, YG67, B91, B93, B95, B97.
Tools & Embellishments: EK Success border punch, ribbon from stash.

A Spoon Full of Sugar
This week over at A Spoon Full of Sugar, Whimsy are sponsoring the challenge. The lovely Debbie asked all of the Whimsy DT whether we would like to be guest designers and of course, we all jumped at the chance to get involved! The challenge was to make a Easter card and once again, those freestyle Easter eggs made an appearance! This time, I masked off the pear that Peartunia was holding and instead drew in an Easter egg {badly}....! I also designed a little bit of Word Art to finish off the card.

Goodie List........
Digi Stamps: Pretty Peartunia by Whimsy.
Paper: Bloom & Grow - Zoe Pearn.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E43, E47, E49, E50, R20, R22, R81, R83, R85, Y17, Y21, BG15, BG34, BG49.
Tools & Embellishments: Word Art and ribbon from stash.

So there we go. Sorry everything is so late - I am totally going to blame my tools on this occasion! Stupid technology! ~♥~

This will be me this weekend......

... the cocktail part that is, not the turning 18 bit! I think those days are long behind me now, I'm afraid! So yes, this will be me on my friends hen weekend - my night time frock is even red too! Really looking forward to getting dressed up and going out for a good old boogie. It's been way too long!

As you can probably tell though, this card wasn't actually made to mark my drunken weekend away. No, it was really an order from one of my colleages for her neice. Really chuffed with how it turned out though as I'm loving this paper and can see that I am going to get loads of use out of this fab image!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Sassy Studio Designs.
Paper: 'Quite Contrary' by My Minds Eye, available from Dies to Die For.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E50, R20, R22, R27, BG000, W5, W7, Y21, Y28, YR23.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems and computer generated sentiment.

Righty-oh, I'm off to finish my packing. I'm also planning of packing Ali off to bed and then sitting down to watch 'New Moon' which landed on my doorstep today - even though it isn't officially released until Monday! Don't you just love Amazon pre-ordering?!

Hope you all have a splendid weekend folks, I know I will!

Copic Colour Challenge 56

Well, it's Wednesday. You know what that means! Copic Colour Challenge day! I was a happy bunny when this weeks colours popped up - thanks Karen! Karen chose BV02, G02 and B32 - such a pretty combo. This combo also gave me a very good excuse to purchase last year's Pink Petticoat spring papers that I've wanted for ages!

This card went a bit wrong to start with but luckily I was able to rescue it. I tried using chalk to give a funky background to the image but.... it just looked rubbish! So I reprinted my image, recoloured it and bunged it over the top! As good as new, don't you think?!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Girl Singer by InStyle.
Sentiment: Whimsy.
Paper: Spring Wishes by Pink Petticoat.
Copic Markers: BV00, BV02, BV04, G00, G02, G05, B32, W1, W3, W5, W7, YR23, Y21, E00, E11, E50, R20, R22.
Tools & Embellishments: Nestabilities, ribbon and button from stash, EK Success border punch.

Sorry I've been a bit quiet lately. I'm up to my eyeballs at work and have masses to do at home as well. I'm away all weekend on a hen so I'm feeling altogether frazzled! Thanks for stopping by though, I so love reading your lovely comments ☺

Anyone for Anya? - Spring Time

Happy Mothers Day! For the first time in years, I actually get to spend Mother's Day with my lovely Mum - hurrah! I'm taking the lovely lady herself out for lunch and a spot of shopping. Really looking forward to it. Last year she got fancy glue as her pressie (DON'T ask....!) but this year she has a bundle of handstitched goodness heading her way. I've made her a snazzy little pouch for her phone, a matching little purse and a cover for her handbag tissues. Poor thing won't know what has hit her will she?!

This week at Anyone for Anya, the challenge is Spring Fever! We want to see your spring inspired cards. Now, I appear to have got a little confused with this one.... I went for the idea of fresh new shoots but appear to have ended up with a rather autumnal affair.......!

Not good is it?! I am clearly seasonally challenged. Oh well, at least my stitching is straight...... d'oh! Maybe not ;o)

Goodie List........
Stamps: Miss Anya Dressy by The Greeting Farm, available here from Dies to Die For.
Sentiment: Whimsy Oval Snippets by Whimsy Stamps.

Happy Wednesday! It's downhill to the weekend from here! Yippee! Today, I have some exciting news to share with you. I made it into the Sugar Nellie Spotlight! I was so chuffed to be asked and thankful that Zoe picked out some of my better efforts to showcase on the blog. Thank you so much for asking me Zoe and for your kind words in the write up. If only the photo could have been better.......! I've got a cold, it's my only excuse! ;o)

As it is Wednesday, it is also Copic Colour Challenge day! I think I picked the colours this week and for the first time ever, I actually enjoyed playing with them! Normally, I end up picking something random and then struggle. However, I'm stunned to say that this is one of my favourite cards that I have ever produced. I love it sooooo much!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Mo's Digital Pencil.
Sentiment: Whimsy Oval Snippets
