Crikey, for my first foray back into card making, I sure went for a bright one, hope you've got your sunnies! I absolutely loved making this card. It encompassed everything I missed about crafting; bright colours and lots of colouring. As it was my first proper card for nearly two years, I'm really pleased about how it turned out.
Supplies...
Paper: K&Co - Citronella.
Image: Kenny K - Queens Cutie.
Sentiments: MFT - Say What?
Accessories and Tools: Oval Nestabilities, adhesive gems and Copic markers.
I'm gutted that I've had to go back to listing out the ingredients of the card. I was a bit surprised/gutted to see that inlinks now charge for the linking service. As I'm newly back to blogging, I really don't want to commit to paying for it just yet. But, if I manage to get back to blogging more consistently, I might have to reconsider as I really liked the service.
Challenges
Crafting When We Can - Bright Colours.
Inkspirational Challenges - Use markers or pencils.
Crafting at the Weekend - Anything Goes.
Crafting Muskateers - 1-2-3 (1 image, 2 papers, 3 sentiments).
Our Creative Corner - Summertime (To me, summer is super bright colours!).
I actually made this card using the sketch over on The Paper Players. However, I didn't manage to get it up on the blog in time; doh!
Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

Umm... hello? Remember me?
Well, after nearly two years away, I just thought I'd stop by to say a little hello! I have no real excuses for my prolonged absence, just an extremely busy life and a very demanding job. I keep thinking things will calm down soon, but alas, no sign of it yet!
You'll be pleased to hear that I have managed some crafting over the past year or so as Alistair and I {finally} got married in April! It was a truly lovely day and one that was made even more wonderful by the fact that we were surrounded by all of our lovely family and friends. They were also extremely sweet and said that all of my homemade touches really "made it". I'll add a few pictures over the coming days to show you what I made for our special day.
All of the wedding prep really made me realise that I seriously miss my craft room and the creations that used to emerge from it. As a result, I really really want to make more time to play in my poor, neglected craft room. Although, given my prolonged break, I must admit that I'm nervous of a come back as things in the crafting world seem to have changed quite a lot whilst I've been away. Bloggers who were around when I last was, don't seem to be any more and there are lots of new ones on the scene. Blogger itself seems to have had a bit of an update, which completely threw me to start with! I really had to think about how to start a new post! So rusty...! More significantly, the style of people's cards seems to have changed quite a lot. Stamps seem to have been pushed aside, in favour of dies. The cards that I've seen so far look awesome and I'd love to incorporate some of these elements into my creations, but I think I might have a lot of catching up to do!
On that note, I'm now going to spend the afternoon in my craft room *trying* to rediscover my mojo. I promise to share whatever I manage to create, even if it is just a mess!
Thanks so much for stopping by and for {hopefully} not forgetting about me entirely!

Shine!
Hello lovely people! I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend. I know I certainly am as I'm off to France tonight for a little weekend away. Here's to lots of chilled out mooching around, yummy food and plenty of wine - without one of us being on lemonade because we have to drive! Anyway, enough of my waffle. Let me show you what you came for.... Some crafty inspiration!
I had a ridiculous amount of fun with this card and I'm so chuffed/stunned that the bling I added to the sentiment came out in the picture - first time I've ever managed that!
I went for a real scrappy feel on my card, just like my biggest stamping idols do. I'm not sure I executed it with the level of precision that they do, but I think it is definitely passable! I particularly adore this amazing Crate Paper collection, just the most beautiful designs and colour palette. Yum!
I applied the bling to the sentiment in a slightly different way and I think this will be my method of choice from now on. I squirted a little Stickles on a piece of scrap and then used a paint brush to paint on the sparkles. It gave a must thinned, less gloppy look which I much prefer. A useful tip ith Christmas just around the corner.
Anyway, must dash, I have a ferry to catch!

Oh dear...
I was about to launch in to some serious crafting. However think I might need to do some serious tidying first. Boo hiss.

Redonkulous DT Day #11
Hello lovely people! Not satisfied taking part in the Redonkulous blog hop (BTW, you still have time to take part, just check out the post below this one!), I'm back with yet another Redonkulous creation :o)
Those of you who regularly check out my blog will know that I am very much a square card, bold character image kinda gal.... well, this one is a little bit different. Not only have I gone floral, the central focus of my card is actually a sentiment. In addition to that, I made a stepper card to mount it all on.
And from the side view...
I just love this sentiment as this is exactly the relationship I have with my lovely Mum. Sheryl has done such a fantastic job in embellishing the heart with all those vines and leaves too. She's a fab artist :o)
For those of you who also love this image, there is good news.... there are a whole host of other versions available with alternative sentiments in the shop! Make sure you visit Redonkulous to check them out!

And now for a little close-up to demonstrate the abundance of foam pads and silicone on this card!

Die-ing For a Challenge
Morning everyone, hope you are all set and ready to go for yet another rainy August bank holiday weekend?! Why oh why does it always rain on this weekend, every year, without fail?
Today, I'm continuing my uncanny knack of making cards with things that I know without a doubt were from DTDF, but now can't find in the shop! I am clearly the most hopeless DT member in the world, but hope that my card inspires you to browse amongst the other gorgeous CC Designs 'Swiss Pixies' in the shop and have a chuckle at the different Inkadinkadoo kiddie phrases that are available :o)
This is actually my DT card for this months Die-ing For a Challenge. The theme this month is a cinch.... anything goes! Just be sure to read up on the rules, then get stuck in and play along with us to be in with a chance of winning a £25 voucher to spend in the Dies to Die For shop!
