Wow, can't believe we are on the final day of the Sassy Studio Designs relay and I've actually managed to keep up! Bit of a first for me this. What can I say? It was the lure of all of those lovely free Sassy images that did it! Here is my final card using Sassy Hatter.

Please don't look too closely at the colouring! I got myself in a total pickle with it and totally messed it up!  Such a shame as she is a total cutie.

Anyone for Anya? - Don't be Square

Howdy folks. Hope you are enjoying the weekend. Shame we have to go back to work tomorrow, isn't it?! However, why not spend your last day of freedom creating a card for this weeks challenge over at Anyone for Anya? The challenge is not to be square. This little card was made as a get well for one of the bestest bloggy friends who has been a bit unwell recently. She said it put a big smile on her face when she received it, so I guess it had the desired effect!

Goodie List........

Anyone for Anya? - Lucky Numbers!

Afternoon peeps. Blogging has been adandoned again this week, I'm afraid. Crikey, what a couple of days I've had.....

We came home on Thursday night to find our front door literally in tatters. Both the door and the surrounding frame completely in pieces. Amazingly, when we walked in, we found that nothing had been touched. The house still had it's usual scattering of iPods, laptops, cameras, TV's etc etc. We rang the police immediately but whilst we were on the phone, some random man just wandered in the house! To cut a long story short, it turned out that he had only just moved in, is very poorly with sclerosis of the liver (he's an alcoholic) and got confused as to which was his front door. He then managed to convince one of our neighbours that ours was his house and that he'd lost his key. The good samaritan then kicked and hacked our door down, thinking he was doing the poor guy a favour. It was only when they got in and saw a picture of Ali and I and one of my dresses hanging up that they both realised their awful mistake. Since then, the days have gone by in a blur of phone calls and hassle to try and sort out the mess and to arrange for a new door to be fitted. Very upsetting and stressful. I guess we just have to be thankful that it was a mistake and that we weren't actually burgled. Does not make it any easier to deal with though, unfortunately.... :o(

Anyway, enough moaning. On to my card for this weeks Anyone for Anya challenge! This week we are sponsored by Jacobi and the theme is Lucky Numbers. Yep, all you have to do is make sure you include a number somewhere on your creation.

I thought outside of the box a little and used a sentiment stamp from Whimsy with numbers in it. I adore this new TGF image, just don't look too closely as it is bleed central in certain areas. Naughty cardstock wanted to eat up my Copics!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Buddies' by The Greeting Farm, available here at Dies to Die For.
Sentiment: Whimsy Circle Postmarks from Whimsy Stamps.

Paper: Stampin' Up!
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E50, E51, E53, R32, R35, R37, R59, B60, B63, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Buttons from stash, MS Valentine Lace Border Punch, Craftwork Cards Scalloped Edge CardsMS Bakers Twine - all available from Dies to Die For.

Right, thats is all from me, gotta go and tend to the roast chicken! Well, I need the energy as I've just signed up to the gym to try and get fit for the summer. Think of me at 6am tomorrow morning when you are lounging in bed and I'm killing myself on the treadmill.....!

The Starbucks Queen

"My name is Stacey, and I am a Starbucksaholic". It is true, I am addicted to the place. So, what better way to show that than to make a Starbucks inspired card?!

I'm hoping that this card fulfils two challenges involving hot chocolate - Quixotic Challenges and Simon Says Stamp.

Goodie List........

Paper: Stampin' Up!
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: EK Success Border Punch, ribbon, buttons and thread from stash.

Copic Colour Challenge #43

It cannot be Wednesday already can it?! Well, in that case, I better share my Copic Colour Challenge DT card with you hadn't I? The colours this week are BV23, R59 and YG03. Unfortunately, these colours exposed a little gap in my Copic collection....I hardly own any BV colours! Consequently, I couldn't really stick to this weeks colour combo particularly loyally and had to substitute the purple/grey colour for bog standard C Copic shades. NOTE TO SELF: Buy more Copics! ;o)

As we are sponsored by the wonderful My Favorite Things this week, it seemed only fitting that I used this fabulous MFT image. I've adored this stamp from afar for AGES and my wonderful friend Sheila bought it for me as a present on my birthday. I'm very ashamed to say that this is the very first time it has seen ink.... But, isn't the sentiment brilliant?!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Maid for You by MFT
Paper: Stampin' Up!
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash.

Hope everyone is well!

Isn't this stamp adorable?! It is one of my new ones from Tracy at Dies to Die For. I love this cutie and was so happy that I got a chance to ink him up! BTW, check me out, I even liquid appliqued the fur on his hat for an extra fluffy effect!

Copic Colour Challenge 31

What a strange week it has been. I have had cards to show you every day but no time to post them! Very annoying really as several of them were for challenges. Grr. Oh well, they will just have to be 'just because' cards now won't they?! So what have I been doing with my time? Well, working obviously, but I've also spent quite a bit of time giving the Copic Colour Challenge website a bit of a new image. I'm really pleased with it so I hope you all like it too! And on that subject, here is my DT card for this weeks colour combo - YR68, G94, Y38.

I was literally desperate to ink up my Miss Anya Dressy's and as wasted no time in getting this little baby coloured! I also fancied doing a clean and simple card and as these Stampin' Up! papers matched the colour scheme perfectly, they got dragged out of their hidey hole and slapped on this card!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Miss Anya Dressy by TGF, in stock at Dies to Die For.
Sentiment Stamps: Birthday Sentiments by Amy R, in stock at Dies to Die For.
Paper:
Stampin' Up.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools: Oval Nesties.

Before I go (to my first Spinning class in a year - yuk!), I just wanted to let you know about something very exciting going on over at Dies to Die For. It is the fantabulously lovely Tracy's birthday on Monday, and she is having a week full off birthday offers which change every day! If you haven't already, check out her blog, or sign up to the shop newsletter to stay up to date!

Whimsy Challenge 16 - A Touch of Sparkle

Well, I started the Bank Holiday weekend off in style with another day off! Despite being insanely busy at work at the moment, I have over a weeks holiday to take by the end of September, so I can foresee some more nice L-O-N-G weekends coming up! So how did I spend my day? In my very favourite way..... choons on, craft stuff out! It also gave me an opportunity to dive into my Whimsy DT stamp pile and play along with the Whimsy Stamps Challenge.......

As some of you might know, I have a bit of a giraffe obsession so I am so pleased that this little fella finally got inky! The challenge was to add a touch of sparkle.... well, I think this effort should count as I added 6 lots of sparkle!

Goodie List........
Stamps:
Whimsy Giraffe.
Paper: Stampin' Up.
Cardstock: Bazzill 'Kraft'.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Embellishments: Gems from stash.

I actually managed quite a few cards today for various challenges so I'm planning on bombarding you all over the next couple of days!
Take care my sweets!

A Too Late Stamp Something!

Oh dear. Would you believe I made this last Saturday to the Stamp Something sketch but forgot to upload it? It's so annoying when you manage to complete challenges and are then too late to take part isn't it?! Oh well, here it is anyway.....!

This little cutie was Ali's birthday card from me this year. The story is that we are both desperate to 'steal' the little westie that lives in the same block as us! But, as we could never truly steal him away from his probably very loving Mummy and Daddy, I decided this little scamp would have to do for the time being! My colouring is rubbish but, luckily, Ali loved it anyway!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Little Claire, Sentiment printed from PC.
Paper: Stampin' Up!
Ink & Colour: Memento, Copic markers and white gel pen.
Tools & Embellishments: Adhesive gems from stash.

Right, must dash, posting illegally again! Its my last day for 2 whole week (eeek! so excited!) so I suppose I had better go do something! Thanks for visiting me today and for any comments you might leave! ~♥~

Just a Spoon Full of Magnolia!

A post?! For the 2nd day running?! I know, doing well aren't I?! It had better be a quickie though as I am illegally posting at work......! So without further ado, here is my entry for this weeks Just Magnolia challenge (buttons!) which I made following the sketch over at A Spoon Full of Sugar.

By the way, whilst we are on the subject of Magnolia stamps, did you know that Tracy over at Dies to Die For now stocks Magnolias?! You can find a rather yummy selection here.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Magnolia.... no idea which one!
Paper: Stampin' Up! and Core'dinations CS.
Ink & Colour: Copic markers and white gel pen.

Just Magnolia - Week 13

I'm pleased to say that I didn't get washed away in the monsoon at Saturday's christening. Although, my frock was pretty much ruined anyway as I put it on 3 weeks after buying it to realise that is now way too big for me! Grr. Love that dress too :o( . However, as Ali said, at least it wasn't too small for me, at least I went the right way along the scale! Despite the fashion dramas, the christening was lovely and Emily Grace didn't even cry! Quite the opposite actually, she high-fived the priest when he reached out to try and touch her forehead! Bless!

After the excitement of the christening, I came home and made up my 'challenge sheet' for the week and had a delve in my newly put together "Favourite Swap Images which I HAVE to Use" bag. The first one to come out was this gorgeous Tilda, which I decided would be perfect for the sketch over on the Just Magnolia challenge blog.

I have to admit, I am extremely partial ot the lovely papers and colours on this one! It's also the first time that I tried colouring behind the image too and, despite the masses of blender pen I went through, I think it went pretty well. Still addicted to those scalloped blanks though I'm afraid.....!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Magnolia - received in swap.
Paper & Card: Stampin' Up.
Ink & Colour: Memento, Copic markers, Spica glitter pen & white gel pens.
Tools & Embellishments: Nestabilities, Prima flowers, Dew Drops, C.Cards Mini Messages.

Anyway, best go and get in the shower now.... wish it was still the weekend and I didn't have to go to stinky work!

Copic Colour Challenge #16

Oh my word, I can't believe that it has been a whole week since my last post! To say things have been hectic is an understatement but I promise not to bore you with the details. Needless to say, I am absolutely fine, have had the will and the desire to create but unfortunately not the time! Consequently, my effort for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge was a little last minute.....!

The colours for this week are RV11, Y06 and E39. Typically, I didn't have these neopolitan ice cream themed colours so I picked my nearest shades. Don't you just love this image though?! Another High Hopes beauty from Tracy at Dies to Die For.

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Tidy Up Tillie' by High Hopes, from Dies to Die For.
Paper: Stampin' Up! DP and Cardstock.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) and Copic markers.
Tools and Embellishments: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Prima flower and Dew Drop.

I actually have nothing planned for this weekend so I am hoping to spend the weekend catching up and having a giant crafting sesh! Normal service should now resume ☺

Playful Goats

Yippee! 8 whole days off work! You can tell I'm excited, right?! I've got a few things planned but I'm also looking forward to some uninterrupted crafting time. Bliss!

Today I want to share a card I made over the weekend from some of the lovely stash Tracy sent to me in my recent DTDF DT parcel. I have to admit, this High Hopes stamp isn't a stamp that I would have ordinarily been drawn to but I totally suprised myself as I loved working with it! Once I worked out what I was doing, it was great fun to colour.

In hindsight, I wish I'd not included the flower and had just rounded the end off like the other end.... I always do this, I'm such a perfectionist! Never happy!

Goodie List........
Stamps: High Hopes - Playful Goats - available here, Sentiment by Elzybells.
Paper: 3 Bugs in a Rug, Stampin' Up! Cardstock in Barely Banana and Certainly Celery.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) and Copics.
Embellishments: Brads from stash, Stampin' Up ribbon from RAK.

Right, I'm off to jump in the shower, ready for my day of craft shopping, clothes shopping, Starbuck sipping, eye testing and car washing! Enjoy the sunshine peeps! ~♥~

Gift for a Friend

After I was sent this gorgoeus little folder from Zoe the other day, I knew I had better send something nice to repay her! After much searching, I found a tutorial for a cute little folder made of envelopes. As I was sending Zoe a selection of images, I decided that this was the project for me! You can find the tutorial that I followed here. Its easier than you think, I promise!

Here is the view from the front, when the folder is all done up. I used my new Stampin' Up DP in Bashful Blue. What do you think of the sentiment?! Isn't it fun?! I received this stamped image recently from Sheila and I just love it!

Here is the view from the top. You can see the envelopes containing all of the stamped images. The Stampin' Up tab thingies are also visible here. I left them deliberately blank so that Zoe could personalise the folder herself for whatever she ultimately decides to keep in there. I actually ordered these punch-outs off Australian ebay (!) as I wanted to make sure I would use them before I went ahead and ordered the punch. I really like them though so I guess thats just one more thing to add to my wish list!

And finally, here is the side view. I love how it looks so neat and tidy. It's a great present to send through the post as it folds up flat so nothing gets damaged.

It's amazing what you can create using some old envelopes that have lost their stick and a Weetabix box isn't it?!

Goodie List........
Stamps: From image swap - Sheila, where did you get it?!
Paper: Stampin' Up! Bashful Blue DP.
Embellishments: Nestabilities, Stampin' Up! tab punchies, Eyelets and ribbon from stash.

Hope you are all enjoying this wonderful weather!

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Morning everyone! Hope you are all well.

I've been a a bit disillusioned the last couple of days as I spent 4 whole days trying to make a decent wedding card for my Mum and Dad's friends. Unfortunately, I had a complete mental block which resulted in a lot of frustration and even more wasted craft stash. The harder I tried, the worse my efforts became. Why on earth did I have so much trouble? I have absolutely no idea. After getting very huffy, I rang my mum and told her she would have to do the unthinkable......she'd have to BUY a card. I know. It was awful ;o)

After all of this, my spirits were rallied somewhat when my new Prismacolors arrived! Woohoo! I got a brand new set of 48 for £12.50 from ebay - what a bargain?! Even better, I had super quick delivery too. I ordered last Thursday and they arrived from the States on Tuesday morning. I was very chuffed.

So..... once the arrival of the Prisma's cheered me up, I decided to get back into the swing of things and make a card. To help with the inspiration side of things, I nipped over to Papertake Weekly and was very happy to see they had a fab sketch from Katharina. So, here is my effort!

I used a combination of Bazzill and Papermania cardstock, coupled with my gorgeous new Basic Grey 'Cupcake' paper. The stamp is Elzybells 'Hugs' and is coloured with my lovely new Prismas and Sansodor. I used my new Cuttlebug Embossing folder on the orange panel (thanks Sheila!) and one of my sparkly new Stampin' Up 'Circle of Friendship' stamps which Aimee kindly sent me from the US. I seriously need to invest in a 1 inch circle punch for these little beauties as I am rubbish at cutting circles freehand! I finished the card with a little doodling, some ribbon and adhesive blue gems..... nothing new here then!

P.S. I'd like to say a massive thank you to Nikki for giving me so much help and advice when it came to the Prismacolors, I really appreciate it Nikki! Also, a massive hug is winging it's way to Sheila for sending me some paperstumps AND about a million stamped images! Thank you sooo much! ~x~

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Thanks a Latte

I've been naughty...... Even though my birthday isn't until tomorrow, I've convinced Ali to let me have my Cuttlebug a little bit early! I knew I was going to love it but I mean, wow, isn't it great?! So far I've only got two embossing folders - Perfectly Paisley and Swiss Dots (of course!) - but I can see myself acquiring some more soon :o)
This is the first card that I have made with my new toy and I'm afraid that it looks far better in the flesh than it unfortunately does in this picture! As it is a thank you card, it is also going to be my entry for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge.

The image is a RAK from Dawn, one of my SBS sisters. I think it might be a Stampin' Up stamp, but please don't quote me on that! I've coloured the birdie with watercolour pencils and highlighted the flower with an adhesive gem. The card stock is Bazzill Bling and I've used my new Fiskars 'Cloud' scissiors to cut the scalloped edges. I finished the card with ribbon and some brads.

Just before I sign off, sorry I've not been about too much this week but I've been tied up making the gifts for our SBS Secret Sister Swap. Although I am enjoying doing something different, I never realised that it would be so time consuming! Once I've finished everything, posted it all and had confirmation that my secret sister has received it, I will share some pics with you but I don't want to do so yet as I don't want to spoil the surprise for her!

Hope everyone is well,
