Whimsy Monthly Digital Release Challenge

Hey everyone! Today is a Whimsy digital release and the DT have split in to two teams to celebrate and to show off the new designs! Half the team are taking part in a blog hop (start HERE at Ann's blog!) and the other half of the team are taking part in a month long digi release challenge! I'm in the challenge team and we want you to use markers, papers, flowers and a Whimsy image! That's all, nice and easy. So here is my card!

I have used one of the brand new images by new designer, Melissa from Meljens Designs. Melissa has produced a series of Little Red Riding Hood images for Whimsy and they are Fun with a big, fat capital F!
As well as the Whimsy challenge, I also managed to incorporate a few other challenges in to this card.

* Copic Colour Challenge - BG11, BG02 and R20.
* Charisma Cardz - Girly Card with Flowers.
* Allsorts Challenge - Animals.
* Stamp with Fun - Friends.
* Truly Scrumptious - Sketch with the added option of using a hidden tag.

Well, did you spot the hidden message on my card?! Yep, it was tucked just behind my main image panel. Here are a few snaps of how it all works....

Like that sentiment? Well, this is also part of the new release and has been designed by Raindrop Echo Designs. Ann has designed lots of new word art which will be available in the Whimsy store, along with all the other new designs, from 9am EST today.

Goodie List........
Digi Image: 'Three Pigs' by Meljen Designs for Whimsy.
Digi WordArt: Raindrop Echo Designs for Whimsy.

Copic Colour Challenge 62

How on earth did I forget to post this?! I guess I've got it in my head that my work is done once the actual Copic Colour Challenge post is up and running, I just kinda forget about my own little blog. Silly moo cow. Anyway, without further ado, here is my card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge....

The colours were B02, BV02 and YG03. Now these are very pretty colours that work beautifully together.  However, I don't have any papers that match at all! So... imagine my surprise when I realised that I was the one who actually chose this colour combo!!! What an idiot?!

Really like this image. I received just this one in a swap a little while ago and I so need to by the whole lot as I love them! Oh well, maybe payday...!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamps: Charmed Cards.
Paper: MME Quite Contrary from Dies to Die For.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E43, E47, E49, E50, E51, E53, B00, B02, B05, R81, R83, R85, YG03, YG63, YG67, BV00, BV02, BV04, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Ribbon, flower and pearl from stash.

Make sure you stop by the CCC blog, we have a few questions we'd like to ask you!

MIA....

Oh dear.... the blogging situation hasn't improved. The crafting situation hasn't improved. The work situation hasn't improved either. I've not had time to visit anyones blogs lately, I've missed people's birthdays and have just generally been a very rubbish blogging buddy. I feel like I am completely swamped in virtually every area of my life at the minute and things just aren't getting any better. I hasn't helped that I've been away virtually every weekend lately and as I'm a weekend crafter, this has been a bit of a catastrophe. Anyway, I'm actually home this weekend and so am planning a mayor craft fest to try and kickstart my weary mojo. I also want to make up for all the things I've not done recently so that I can appease my guilty conscience and make up for neglecting both my craft stash and my lovely craft friends! Wish me luck.....

Well, I think that is enough moaning. If you are still with me, do you fancy seeing (2 days late...) the card I made for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge? The colours this week are YG00, RV13, V91 and we are sponsored by the wonderful InStyle.

This one was made using the sketch over at Crazy 4 Challenges. I'm not entirely sure these papers really work together with the green card but hey, you have to try these things, right?!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Yuki' by InStyle
Paper: Doodlebug.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E50, R81, R83, R85, Y21, Y28, YG00, YG03, YG06, V12, V15, V17, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash.

So that is it from me. Sorry to be such a whinge bag, I really hope that this weekend will sort me out!

Copic Colour Challenge 59

It's Wednesday, the last day of my holiday and also Copic Colour Challenge day! This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp and the colours we want you to use are YR16, BG49 and E18. Once again, I'm afraid I didn't have a couple of the colours (the orange and the brown) so I used the nearest I could find....

I took a trip over to Some Odd Girl to check out some of the lovely images there and was really happy to find this little cutie who is this months freebie! What a bargain huh?! Totally love these manga style images and will be back at Some Odd Girl pretty soon me thinks ;o)

Goodie List........
Stamps: Mae Freebie - Some Odd Girl.
Digi Paper: 'Away We Go' by Zoe Pearn for Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E50, R81, R83, R85, BG15, BG23, BG49, YR04, YR07, C1, C3, C5, C7, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Adhesive gems, ribbon from stash and computer generated sentiment.

See you soon folks ~♥~

Copic Colour Challenge 58

Happy Wednesday! Just limping through the remaining week, desperate for my holidays now. Work is insane (every deadline seems to be on the same blinkin' day!) and we are also in the midst of a mass restructure and so everything seems extra draining. Which may be the reason that my poor fella went via Waitrose on the way home from work just to buy me a nice bottle of wine! Just have to keep reminding myself that I just have one more day to get through before I can scarper for a whole week :o)

As it is Wednesday, it is also Copic Colour Challenge day. This week, we are sponsored by the incredibly talented Michelle Perkett. Trust me, you are going to want to have a look at this lovely lady's images - very cool! As for the colours this week.... I had to make it all up a bit! I didn't have any of the colours that had been chosen! Consequently, I went for something near-ish......

I absolutely love this cute CC Designs image - it can be used for so many occasions. Just what I like from my stamps! You can buy this lovely little lady from Tracy at Dies to Die For right here.

As the challenge over at Papertake is 'Anything Goes' this week, I will also be entering this card over there. Well, it would be rude not to, wouldn't it?!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Darby & Bumbles by CC Designs, from Dies to Die For.
Sentiment: Whimsy Snippets Set 1 by Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: MME Bloom & Grow, available here at Dies to Die For.
Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Ribbon and button from stash.

So thats all from me today. See you tomorrow with another little make :o)

Copic Colour Challenge 57

Oh my word, the week is flying past in a total blur. I just can't keep up at the moment! Consequently, this card was made at about 11pm last night.... nothing like a little bit of pressure now, is there?!

The challenge this week at CCC is to use G99, BV08 and E59. This isn't a combo I'd generally use a lot but I actually really enjoyed playing with it :o)
I also used the fab Dawny P sketch over at Papertake this week. I've said it before but I love Dawny's sketches - always so simple yet perfect! The sketch also gave me the perfect opportunity to use one of the gorgeous new images from CC Designs. All of these fab new stamps are available here from Dies to Die For.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Party Emma - available here.
Sentiment: Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: Making Memories.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.

Right, thats it from me. I'm really hoping I am going to get a chance to come and visit you all in the next day or so. I've got withdrawl symptoms from your lovely creations!

Copic Colour Challenge 56

Well, it's Wednesday. You know what that means! Copic Colour Challenge day! I was a happy bunny when this weeks colours popped up - thanks Karen! Karen chose BV02, G02 and B32 - such a pretty combo. This combo also gave me a very good excuse to purchase last year's Pink Petticoat spring papers that I've wanted for ages!

This card went a bit wrong to start with but luckily I was able to rescue it. I tried using chalk to give a funky background to the image but.... it just looked rubbish! So I reprinted my image, recoloured it and bunged it over the top! As good as new, don't you think?!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Girl Singer by InStyle.
Sentiment: Whimsy.
Paper: Spring Wishes by Pink Petticoat.
Copic Markers: BV00, BV02, BV04, G00, G02, G05, B32, W1, W3, W5, W7, YR23, Y21, E00, E11, E50, R20, R22.
Tools & Embellishments: Nestabilities, ribbon and button from stash, EK Success border punch.

Sorry I've been a bit quiet lately. I'm up to my eyeballs at work and have masses to do at home as well. I'm away all weekend on a hen so I'm feeling altogether frazzled! Thanks for stopping by though, I so love reading your lovely comments ☺

Copic Colour Challenge 55

Just a quickie from me tonight folks - I'm cream crackered and I need my bed! Just wanted to share my DT card for todays Copic Colour Challenge. The colours this week are C7, W7 and BG96 and they spoke the word 'boy' to me so I pulled out my trusty Edward!

I know, I actually made a boy card without needing too. Although that may have something to do with these fabulous new MME papers.

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Edward' by TGF, available here from Dies to Die For.
Paper: MME 'Quite Contrary - Little Boy Blue', available here from Dies to Die For.
Copic Colours: E00, E11, E43, E47, E49, E50, G21, G85, G99, W1, W3, W5, W7, B93, B95, B97.
Tools & Embellishments: Buttons and embroidery thread from stash.

Right - night night, sleep tight, mind the bed bugs don't bite.....!

Copic Colour Challenge 54

Happy Wednesday! It's downhill to the weekend from here! Yippee! Today, I have some exciting news to share with you. I made it into the Sugar Nellie Spotlight! I was so chuffed to be asked and thankful that Zoe picked out some of my better efforts to showcase on the blog. Thank you so much for asking me Zoe and for your kind words in the write up. If only the photo could have been better.......! I've got a cold, it's my only excuse! ;o)

As it is Wednesday, it is also Copic Colour Challenge day! I think I picked the colours this week and for the first time ever, I actually enjoyed playing with them! Normally, I end up picking something random and then struggle. However, I'm stunned to say that this is one of my favourite cards that I have ever produced. I love it sooooo much!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Mo's Digital Pencil.
Sentiment: Whimsy Oval Snippets
Paper: Just Chillin' by Making Memories.
Copic Colours: E00, E11, E31, E33, E35, E37, E50, E51, E53, YG03, YG63, YG67, R20, R22, R81, R83, R85, YR07, YR23, Y17, Y21, BG15, BG34, BG49, W1, W3, W5, W7, B91, B93, B95, B97.

Yeah.... I used a LOT of Copic goodness on this one! Loved every second of it though and am mightily pleased with the end result ☺

Thats all from me, thanks for stopping by. Hope to get a chance to stop by your blogs tonight to say a quick hello!

Copic Colour Challenge 53

Hello peeps. It's going to be a super quick one from me tonight I'm afraid as I've had a day full of meetings and I am utterly cream crackered. I just want to share with you the card I made for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge. We're sponsored by Stretch n Bubbles and the DT got to play with some of their images. This little birdie was perfect for this weeks colours - YG03, C7 and Y17.

I'm currently making a bag for my friends birthday present so I added a bit of stitching to this card whilst my little Janome was out. Still love the effect it gives. Because of the stitching, I can also add this card into this weeks challenge over at Stamp with Fun.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Stretch n Bubbles.
Paper: Pink Petticoat free kit.
Copic Markers: YG03, YG63, YG67, Y15, Y17, Y21, C3, C5, C7.

OK, thats all from me today. I'll be hopping in to my lovely bed soon! Oh well, only 1 more day at work until I have 3 days off! Woo-hoo!

Copic Colour Challenge 52

Crikey, I'll be spoiling you all today you know. This is going to be the first of 2 posts! Almost unheard of for me! I'm more of a 'pace yourself' kinda gal!

Anyway, the first post today is to share my Copic Colour Challenge DT card with you. I really enjoyed playing with this weeks colours C3, R11 and G21. Such a pretty little combo and pretty easy to work with, which is always nice! We're also sponsored by InStyle, which would explain this super cute image....!

I'm totally getting in to my soft and springy colours again. It is so nice to get back to this, especially after the chilly winter we've had! I also used the layout over at Friday Sketchers this week - fab sketch, huh?

Goodie List........
Stamps: InStyle Stamps.
Paper: One of my many Zoe Pearn sets from Sweet Shoppe Designs!
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E50, Y17, Y21, YR23, R20, R22, G21, G85, G99, C1, C3, C5, C7, BG01, BG05.
Tools & Embellishments: Nesties, glitter and ribbon from stash.

Make sure you pop back later - I'm in the Whimsy Magical Mythical blog hop!

Copic Colour Challenge 51

Morning all. Well, this post is officially a day late but I've been having all sorts of problems with the PC. We are in the process of repairing my (high spec but unstable!) PC and replacing Ali's older and slower one which we have been using for the last couple of years. We spent ages transferring everything off the old one and putting it on the external hard drive. We then plugged in the freshly repaired machine and...... nothing! Flaming techonology! Anyway, after much faffing, the old set up is back, the other PC is back in the repair shop and this post is a day overdue! Oh well, you can't win them all, can you?!

This weeks colour combo at Copic Colour Challange was a total joy to work with - I loved every minute of it. I suppose it also helps that the layout I used from this weeks Friday Sketchers totally ROCKS too!

I finally got round to inking up this Kraftin' Kimmie image - isn't she the cutest?! I also got to play with some of the new Bo Bunny paper from the 'Love Bandit' range. Tracy at Dies to Die For has all of these stamps and papers in so make sure you hop over and check them out ☺

Goodie List........
Stamps: Drucilla by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, in stock at Dies to Die For.
Paper: Love Bandit by Bo Bunny, in stock at Dies to Die For.
Copic Colours: E00, E11, E43, E47, E49, E50, R29, R35, R59, RV23, RV35, B12, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Ribbon and gems from stash.

I'm also going to enter this one in to the Stamp with Fun challenge as the theme this week is hearts. I think I have a few of them on this lovely paper so I should be covered!

Hope you are all having a good week and are all looking forward to the weekend.

Copic Colour Challenge 50

Whoops, another flying post from me today! It's week 50 over at the Copic Colour Challenge and we have a chocolately combo for you this week - E18, E42, E77. I was completely useless and only had one of these colours but hopefully, what I've used is somewhere close enough that you won't notice the difference. If I hadn't already told you that is......!

I did something a bit weird with this layout but it didn't really photo well. The bit where the wavy line runs is actually a little narrower than the base below.... if you get what I mean. It looks better (and less wonky!) in real life anyway ☺.

I just love this image. It is from part of a rather large set from Our Craft Lounge which Tracy has on special offer at the moment. It's so cute and you could use it for some really fun cards.

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Pat the Dog' by Our Craft Lounge, on sale at Dies to Die For.
Paper: Cupids Confectionary by Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Copic Colours: E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E43, E51, R32, R35, R37, R59.
Tools & Embellishments: Nestabilities, EK Success Punch, Martha Stewart Bakers Twine, button from stash.

Hope you are having a lovely day!

CCC48

Aren't we flying though the month?! Although, that does mean that we are hurtling ever closer to pay day..... hurrah! I hate January! ☺

Making this card really cheered me up though - so bright and sunny! I love the pretty colours were chosen for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge - G21, B45 and R85. Right up my street! I've also used the fab sketch at Friday Sketchers this week - definately one I will use again.

Bet you are wondering there the B45 is, huh?! Look in to her eyes.....! Apologies for the rubbish pic by the way, I can't seem to get the sentiment to show up properly.

Goodie List........
Stamps: In Style.
Paper: Zoe Pearn - Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems and Craftwork Cards sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today - hope you can play along with us at CCC!

Copic Colour Challenge #46

Oh dear, I'm a few days late with this one, even though it was made and ready to go last weekend! Naughty Stacey, completely forgot to upload the flaming picture after work like she promised!

Anyway, I'm here now..... The colours this week over at the Copic Colour Challenge are very pretty - G00, RV21 and B32. Unfortunately, I didn't have all of these colours but I substituted with some that were pretty near.

Apologies for the poor picture, I was forced to take this with my daylight lamp - never comes out anywhere near as well as proper daylight! This is a bit of a different shape for me this card and I have to say, I really like it. It also gave me a chance to play with my previously untouched and brand spanking new Miss Anya's. I just love her hair, she looks like Bo-Peep!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Miss Anya Love' by The Greetings Farm, from Dies to Die For.
Paper: Cosmo Cricket.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Nestabilities, EK Success border punch, Stickles, ribbon, thread and button from stash.

Hope you are all wrapped up warm and safe and away from all of that horrid snow. I'm gutted to say that I've not taken one snow days yet and have traipsed in to work every day so far. So think of me when you are making your next snowman!

Copic Colour Challenge 45

Well hello my friends! Crikey, 2 weeks without a post?! That must be a first for me I think!

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and that Santa bought you all lots of craft related goodies! I did rather well really as, amongst other things, Ali bought me some more Copics (wahoo!) and the last bit of the Copic airbrush system I needed (long story, don't ask....!). AND, my wonderful parents bought me a Janome Sew Mini! I absolutely adore that little blighter, even if it did break on me this morning! Mind you, I think it was more user error than machine error....! Due to that little breakdown, don't look too closely at the stitching on my DT card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge as it is pretty clear to see where the machine decided it hated me!

This is actually my Dad's birthday card and, whilst I am pleased with the zigzag stitching, I actually really dislike this card! Oh well, not bad seeing as it is my first card in a couple of weeks I suppose!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Elzybells.
Paper: Pink Petticoat.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Machine stitching and adhesive gems.

So, thats it from me! I have a load of Christmas cards I haven't yet shared with you so I will hopefully be uploading them over the next couple of days.

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. Does anyone else have the Janome Sew Mini? Do you have any tips or tricks? If so, I'd love to hear them! Also, I quite fancy getting a zipper foot (can see a mild bag making obsession looming!) - does anyone know if I can attach one of these to my mini machine or is that just for the big boys? ~♥~

Copic Colour Challenge #44

Good gawd, it is getting cold out there isn't it?! My colleague got all excited this morning as Met Check have said that we can expect snow in Southampton on Christmas day! A total rarity for us. Mind you, it probably won't affect me as I'll be at home with my folks on the Isle of Wight and, due to that lovely coastline, they never get any snow there!

Anyway, enough waffling..... It's Copic Colour Challenge time! This week we are sponsored by InStyle stamps and the colour trio is Y15, BG05 and E47. Whilst making my card, I was mentally cursing the DT member who thought up this colour combo..... that was until I realised that I was the poor fool who picked it!!!

So, here is my card using my InStyle image. I love this girlie and this is going to be my Christmas card to my niece. Hope she likes it!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Girl Singer' by InStyle.
Paper: 'Jolly by Golly' by Cosmo Cricket.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash, computer generated sentiment.

So, that's it from me today. Hope you are all well and that you are all set for the big day!

Copic Colour Challenge #43

It cannot be Wednesday already can it?! Well, in that case, I better share my Copic Colour Challenge DT card with you hadn't I? The colours this week are BV23, R59 and YG03. Unfortunately, these colours exposed a little gap in my Copic collection....I hardly own any BV colours! Consequently, I couldn't really stick to this weeks colour combo particularly loyally and had to substitute the purple/grey colour for bog standard C Copic shades. NOTE TO SELF: Buy more Copics! ;o)

As we are sponsored by the wonderful My Favorite Things this week, it seemed only fitting that I used this fabulous MFT image. I've adored this stamp from afar for AGES and my wonderful friend Sheila bought it for me as a present on my birthday. I'm very ashamed to say that this is the very first time it has seen ink.... But, isn't the sentiment brilliant?!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Maid for You by MFT
Paper: Stampin' Up!
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash.

Hope everyone is well!

Copic Colour Challenge 40

Just a VERY quick one from me today as I am sneakily posting at work again - oops! Am stupidly behind with everything at the moment as we have had about 8 swimming filled weekends on the bounce and, as this is when I do the majority of my crafting, I'm now struggling to keep up!

Anyway, enough of my whining. Here is my card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge. The colours this week are RV23, YG06 and YR04 and we are sponsored by the super-dooper InStyle Stamps.

I am amazed this card looks this neat actually as I made it in 40 minutes last night before bed! Can't wait until the weekend when I can have a proper craft fest!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Sarah' by InStyle.
Paper: 'Tutti Frutti' by Zoe Pearn, Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash.

Right gotta dash - it's time for spinning!
