My First Ever Redonkulous DT Card!

Hi all, I'm a bit excited today.... it's time for my first Redonkulous DT post! I was sent some lovely images to play with and decided to go with the digi called "Welcome Home Soldier". This image comes in three varieties - Canadian, US and UK. I have used the UK version because I'm obviously British! I've kept the rest of the layout pretty simple so that I could show off the fantastic image as much as possible.

As you can see, whilst this image is called "Welcome Home Soldier", I've actually used it more as a card which could be sent to a serviceman currently away from home or serving overseas.

Challenges:
Stamp with Fun - Not an Easter Card.
Simon Says Stamp - Favourite Tool (Dies! I used my Nesties for the sentiment)

Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure you visit the Redonkulous blog to check out the fab creations of my lovely teamies :o)

It's a Double Card Whammy!

Oh dear, I really messed up this week over at CCC.... I'm in charge of making up the colour charts you see. Unfortunately, I got a bit confused between my BG93's and my B93's! An easy mistake to make really as one is mossy green and one is, er, denim blue... ahem! Anyway, I totally confused the whole DT and everyone has used a total variety of colours, all depending on which list they looked at. Doh! Sorry girls! Anyway, what this colour scheme should have been was BG93, E47 and Y23. However, amongst other things, the card below uses B93, E47 and Y23.... whoops!

A nice simple one from me here. I'd like to say that it was done on purpose but in reality, I couldn't face a more complicated layout after I'd finished colouring in all those flippin' hearts! I'm going to enter this in to this weeks Papertake challenge as I think this couple certainly qualify in the cutie pie stakes!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Pink Cat Studio.
Paper: Daisy Bucket, available here from Dies to Die For.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E43, E47, E49, E50, R20, R22, R32, R35, R37, R59, G21, G85, G99, B91, B93, B95, B97, Y17, Y21, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Machine stitching and computer generated sentiment.

My second card to share with you is my most favourite card that I've made for a while. No idea why, I'm just really pleased with it! I followed the sketch over at Sassy Studio Designs and also used one of the fabulous freebies that Lindsay posted the other day.....

Isn't she gorgeous?! I so want to look like that when I grow up ;o) I'm going to enter this one in to a few more challenges... Dare U 2 Digi Stamp where the challenge is 'metal'... Crafty Angels where the theme is 'My Favourite Things' (in this case the MME papers, the Sassy Studio image and the trademark brown gingham bow with a button!)... and finally Quixotic Paperie where the challenge is 'Heavy Metal'.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Sassy Studio Designs.

Paper: MME 'Quite Contrary - Little Boy Blue', available here from Dies to Die For.

Copic Markers: E00, E11, E43, E47, E49, E50, R20, R22, YG03, YG63, YG67, BG15, BG23, BG49, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Craftwork Cards Card Candy, ribbon, button, chain and charms from stash.

Still with me?! hope I haven't bored you to death! Thanks for stopping by today,

Less Like a Salmon, More Like a Tilda...

Well, I know this is my third Magnolia card in as many days but I will not let that dreaded skintone beat me! Must.....fight.....the salmon! Haha! Anyway, I think I've done OK, even if Tilda is a little blotchy. I'm quite chuffed with her dress though, no idea how I managed it mind you.

I put this card together for Sketch Challenge #224 over on SCS. The sketch was perfect for me as I knew I wanted to use this fabulous Daisy Bucket paper from Dies to Die For and so needed a fairly simple layout so that I didn't hide the beautiful pattern. Not that you can see it in this picture, but this was also the first outing of my Copic atyou Spica glitter pen that was a present from the very kind and lovely Michelle. It's so lovely, I much prefer it to the Sakura Stardust pen which turns your image grey!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Magnolia, sentiment by Rubber Romance.
Paper: Daisy Bucket - (Harbor View), Bazzill - from Dies to Die For.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) and Copics. Highlights with white gel pen and Copic atyou Spica pen.

I had the worst day a work yesterday ever and I'm so flat and deflated, I am dreading the day ahead. The whole debacle has left me feeling really upset and annoyed, especially as I know it is all still going to rumble on today.... :o(

Anyway, enough of my whinging, you didn't come here to listen to that afterall! Hope you all have a better day than I anticipate that I am going to have!

Papertake Weekly and Double Hogs & Kisses!

So, is everyone enjoying their long weekend?! I'm having a good one so far. Managed to craft all day Friday and then went to visit Ali's family yesterday. The only down side is that his Mum is having a clear out and so we ended up filling the car full of stuff from when he was little. The spare room is now fit to bursting. Ebay, here we come....!

Anyway, have you seen Dawny's great sketch over on Papertake this week? Its a goodun and one I will no doubt use again. Apologies for the blurry picture though, all of my doodling and gems meant that the final thing came out a little funky!
What a cutie pie image, I love it! This is another High Hopes stamp, courtesy of Tracy at Dies to Dies For. Also, because she's got so many stamps from the top stamp companies, never one to rest on her laurels, she is now targetting her paper supplies! You should totally check out the shop as she has some gorgeous Daisy Bucket papers in, including these classy black and white ones.

Goodie List........
Stamps: High Hopes - Pickles Balloon Ride
Paper: Daisy Bucket (Cocktail Party), Bazzill CS (Hurricane) - available from Dies to Dies For.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) and Copics.
Embellishments: Adhesive gems, computer generated sentiment, doodling.

My regular readers will know that I don't tend to post 2 cards in one post, I try to spread my offerings over a day or two. However, this next card doesn't really warrent a post on its own because it just goes to highlight how STUPID I am! I guess this card is the epitome of what a left-handed blonde stands for....

Yep, that's right. It's a rabbit. Yep, that's right. The sentiment is HOGS and Kisses. You know, hogs as in pig? Doesn't really work quite as well for a rabbit does it?! And do you know the really stupid thing? I didn't actually realise it was wrong until I used the same sentiment for the pig card 5 days later! D'oh!

Goodie List........
Stamps: CC Designs - Kisses & Hugs
Digi Paper: Sweet Shoppe Designs - Manda Bean (Even Sweeter Stuff).
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) and Copics.
Embellishments: Nestabilities and Stickles.

Right, I think that is quite enough waffle from me! Enjoy whats left of the weekend peeps!
