It's a Double Card Whammy!

Oh dear, I really messed up this week over at CCC.... I'm in charge of making up the colour charts you see. Unfortunately, I got a bit confused between my BG93's and my B93's! An easy mistake to make really as one is mossy green and one is, er, denim blue... ahem! Anyway, I totally confused the whole DT and everyone has used a total variety of colours, all depending on which list they looked at. Doh! Sorry girls! Anyway, what this colour scheme should have been was BG93, E47 and Y23. However, amongst other things, the card below uses B93, E47 and Y23.... whoops!

A nice simple one from me here. I'd like to say that it was done on purpose but in reality, I couldn't face a more complicated layout after I'd finished colouring in all those flippin' hearts! I'm going to enter this in to this weeks Papertake challenge as I think this couple certainly qualify in the cutie pie stakes!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Pink Cat Studio.
Paper: Daisy Bucket, available here from Dies to Die For.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E43, E47, E49, E50, R20, R22, R32, R35, R37, R59, G21, G85, G99, B91, B93, B95, B97, Y17, Y21, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Machine stitching and computer generated sentiment.

My second card to share with you is my most favourite card that I've made for a while. No idea why, I'm just really pleased with it! I followed the sketch over at Sassy Studio Designs and also used one of the fabulous freebies that Lindsay posted the other day.....

Isn't she gorgeous?! I so want to look like that when I grow up ;o) I'm going to enter this one in to a few more challenges... Dare U 2 Digi Stamp where the challenge is 'metal'... Crafty Angels where the theme is 'My Favourite Things' (in this case the MME papers, the Sassy Studio image and the trademark brown gingham bow with a button!)... and finally Quixotic Paperie where the challenge is 'Heavy Metal'.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Sassy Studio Designs.

Paper: MME 'Quite Contrary - Little Boy Blue', available here from Dies to Die For.

Copic Markers: E00, E11, E43, E47, E49, E50, R20, R22, YG03, YG63, YG67, BG15, BG23, BG49, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Craftwork Cards Card Candy, ribbon, button, chain and charms from stash.

Still with me?! hope I haven't bored you to death! Thanks for stopping by today,

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #66

Well, I'm pleased to report that the Wii Fit is going pretty well. I'm getting used to the exercises now so I'm not aching quite so much! I've also managed to get my Wii Fit age down to 30 so I am nearly there! Shame I'm not getting any skinnier though....!

Right! On to my card. This one was made using another of the gorgeous Pink Cat Studio QT Hooty Owl stamps from Dies to Die For. I am literally in love with this set so get used to seeing the images pop up from time to time! Same for these delish Zoe Pearn papers!

I used the sketch from Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #66 and rotated it anti-clockwise by 90 degrees. I had a little trouble getting 3 embellies to balance up (as in the sketch) and so combined the 3 elements into 1 handmade distressed circle flower thing - hope that's allowed!

Goodie List........
Stamps:
QT Hooty Owls by Pink Cat Studio - Available from Dies to Die For.
Digital Paper: Zoe Pearn 'Tutti Frutti' - Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) and Copics.
Embellishments: Handmade flower and button from stash.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Super Clean and Simple!

I'm pleased to report that things are starting to get back to some kind of normality. Even though things are still really busy, especially at work, I'm managing to find a little bit more time for myself at home which is making me feel a little more human again! Thank you so much for all of your good wishes, I really appreciate you guys!

A couple of weeks ago, the lovely Michelle sent me a Copic Spica pen to play with. Along with my fab pen, she sent me this gorgeous little notelet. Now, I loved this little notelet so much that when Tracy sent me the QT Hooty Owl set from The Pink Cat Studio in my recent DTDF DT package, I knew that I wanted to CASE Michelle's fab work... hope you don't mind Michelle!

Now, I know these little cards are super simple but I am really pleased with how they turned out. I've always loved this set as the images are super cute and there is virtually an image and sentiment for every occasion, making them perfect for these 10x10cm square notelets.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Pink Cat Studio - QT Hooty Owls - Available from Dies to Die For, "Happy Birthday sentiment by Elzybells.
Paper: Core'dinations Elements Cardstock.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) and Copic markers, Copic Spica Glitter Pen.

I really hope that you have a great BH weekend planned. Lets just hope we get lots of lovely sunshine to play in!

Basic Grey Challenge 27 - Texture

I got my first Dies to Die For DT package today and let me tell you, the contents are GORGEOUS! So, I've ignored the sunshine and armed with a collated print-out of this weeks challenges, have been playing all day long with my new toys. Bliss!

My first card of the day was for this weeks Basic Grey Challenge. The challenge was to build some texture into your card so I added some velvet ribbon and loads of Stickles to Lily's wings, even though you can't see it too well in the picture. Hope this gives enough of a texturised feel to qualify for the challenge!

Check out this wonderful image... It's part of a set of 9 stamps called 'Enchanted Lily' by Pink Cat Studio and the set can be bought from Tracy at Dies to Die For. I love these stamps as they are brilliant value when you consider just how muich rubbah you are getting for your £'s. Not only that but they are super cute as well - what more could you ask for?!

I also used my new favourite papers - Basic Grey 'Urban Prairie' - on this card. They are so totally me, I love the bright sunny colours. Great for spring. And, to add a bit of definition, I went doodle crazy! Loving this effect lately, sorry if you are all sick of it!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Enchanted Lily' by Pink Cat Studio.
Paper: Basic Grey 'Urban Prairie', Core'dinations CS.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) and Copics.
Embellishments: Adhesive gems, velvet ribbon and Stickles.

Right I'm off now for more play time! Ali has another gala tonight so I am home alone. Time to put my tunes on and craft up a storm I think!

Enjoy the sunshine peeps!

Happy Valentines...

... to you all! Hope your loved ones spoil you all day long! Ali and I haven't swapped cards yet as he left for training at 6am this morning. I've got his stuff all ready to go but I fear I'm not going to be quite so lucky... His final words to me last night before going to sleep were "Please don't be mad at me tomorrow - the weekend snuck up on me quicker than I thought it would...." Oh well, a last minute card and some flowers picked up from Tesco's Express on his way back from training are better than nothing aren't they?! At least we are spending the day together and are having a nice dinner tonight (Mexican - yum!), thats the most important thing after all.

What did I get him? Well, I found this great website called Cocoapod where you can personalise chocolate! As he adores white chocolate, I used their build-a-bar service to create a completely white bar with his name on it. Such a fab website! I wrapped my bar in some brown parcel paper which I stamped with a red heart stamp. It looks really good, so I'm happy.

Anyway, onto my card. I decided to make a gatefold card as this is something a little bit different for me. However, because of that, I'm not quite sure how successful it is....! And whilst I really love this downloaded paper, and in fact all downloaded paper, the final effect never quite looks as professional and glossy as when you use pre-printed manufactured paper. Do you also find that or is that just me?!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Pink Cat Studio - Sweethearts.
Paper: Digi download from here.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) and Copics.
Embellishments: Hobbycraft adhesive gems, Sizzix photo corners and ribbon from stash.

Enough of my rambling, enjoy your day!

Friday Sketchers #38

Do you know, I've been agonising over these BG Two Scoops papers for about the last 6 months? No matter what I did with them, I never quite seemed to be able to get them to sit quite right together. This always really annoyed me as I could see that everyone else was completely able to chuck any combo together and get a blinkin' masterpiece! Well, I decided it was high time that I stopped faffing about and just shoved them together and do you know what? I don't actually think it looks too bad!

I made this one to this weeks Friday Sketchers sketch and thought that the cute BG cupid paper would go great with both the season and also my new fave stamp set! I also managed to find some card in my Core'dinations pack that actually went with the papers - a fact that I think makes me dislike the whole thing a lot less than I had on previous attempts!

Goodie List......
Card Stock: Core'dinations.
Paper: Basic Grey - Two Scoops.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Copics & ProMarkers.
Embellishments: Hobbycraft adhesive gems & Papermania ribbon.

A Spoon Full of Sugar

So the snow has gone.... now we are getting stacks of rain! Do you know what? I'm starting to think that all us Brit's really can talk about is the weather!

Did you all have a good weekend? I went out for a yummy lunch with my friend yesterday but did manage to get some crafting done on Saturday. One of the cards I made was the one below, following this weeks sketch on the A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge blog.

I ordered these adorable Billy & Lily Sweetheart stamps from Dies to Die For last week and I am totally in love with them! Aren't they gorgeously amazing?! These beauties coupled with this lovely Piggy Tales paper made this card a joy to make. Although, spot the {deliberate} mistake..... I positioned the panels too high on the page! Thank heavens for adhesive gems eh?!

Goodie List........
Card stock: Bazzill.
Paper: Piggy Tales - Red Riding Hood (I think!).
Ink & Colour: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Copics & Promarkers.
Embellishments: Ribbon (from Marlene), Hobbycraft Adhesive Gems.

Pink Cat Studio Contest - Lily the Fairy

Hey everybody! Apologies for the delay in posting recently, it's exam time at work so I've been a bit up against it. I've still been crafting in the evenings but I've just been really bad at getting things online!

I made this card a couple of weeks ago for the Pink Cat Studio 'Lily the Fairy' contest. You'll be pleased to hear that whilst I am late in sharing it with you, I did manage to enter it on time!

For this card, I used up some Pink Petticoat scraps that I had kicking around from a series of cards I made a few weeks ago. I love these Pretty Doodle papers! I used the positive and negative versions and layered them up with a solid darker pink paper. I'd love to tell you the exact shades, but I cannot for the life of me remember. Could be Sassy..... maybe Orchid.....! I coloured the gorgeous Lily image with ProMarkers and Copics and highlighted her wings with a clear Sakura Stardust pen and a waterbrush.

Although this is a pretty basic layout, I really like the card because it is so bold and colourful!

Only 1 more day to go 'til the weekend! Woo-hoo! Can't wait as I am meeting up with my Mum and we are going to be 'Ladies Wot Lunch'!
