Delicious Digi....!

Are you enjoying the rain?! I fear it may be my fault though... we bought a BBQ on Good Friday and it really hasn't stopped raining ever since! Even my Dad is begging us to take it back to the shop :o)

The good thing about rain though is that it gives you lots of guilt-free time for crafting and online craft shopping! During my time craft shopping, I stumbled across a fantastic digi image store with images which are right up my street - Mayzy Art. Here is a little something I made the other day....

I really enjoyed making this card. It took me no time at all to colour, but hours upon hours to decide on the layout as I must have changed my mine.... ooh.... approximately 15,000 times!

Challenges
Papertake - Anything Goes.
Simon Says Stamp - Anything 'Birthday' Goes.
One Stop Crafts - Celebrations.

Thanks for stopping by, have a fab Bank Holiday Monday!

Day 3 of 11...

Crikey, I missed my Copics....! I think I can safely say that they are the medium that I much prefer working with and I had great fun using them on this image.

Compared to yesterdays Saturated Canary card, I am much happier with my colouring on this card. I also fished out my old Whispers pens and used the really fine nib to add definition and depth to the colouring. I think it worked really well and I'll definitely be using this technique again. I like that I'm using otherwise discarded stash too!

Hope you are enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend,

Hey, Hey!

Hello everyone! Hope you are enjoying this amazing weather. I'm absolutely loving finally having a garden to play in - love the new house! Never thought I'd enjoy pottering in the garden, but I actually do... It's a miracle. I've even planted up some seeds in my new propagator so that I get my herb garden started - can't wait for them to grow :o).

Well, when I haven't been pottering, I've been crafting. Here is a little something I created during the week - hoping you like it...

Isn't this Mo image fab?! Love the whole series of these, they're just such a joy to colour. I've captured a few challenges here too...

My Mums Craft Shop - Digi Images.
Papertake - Bingo (Die Cuts, Free, Glitter).
Mo's Challenge Blog - Bling it On.

Anyway, it's back to work tomorrow so I'm going to skidaddle so that I can squeeze in more fun before bedtime!

Thanks for dropping by,

Sooo Much Better!

Now this is more like it. See, I told you yesterday that I would be back with something much nicer today, didn't I?!

This feels much more me! I love this paper, got to play with my sewing machine and am dead chuffed with how my colouring ended up on my puss-cat!

Also, what do you think of my fabby notebook edge? Well it's a new toy.... It's a Die-Namics die. It's wafer thin, goes through your die cutting machine cuts through loads of stuff! The good news is that this, and many other designs, are available exclusively from the very fabulous Tracy at Dies to Die For.
Goodie List........
Stamps: Motivet digi image.
Paper: 'Girl Friday' by Cosmo Cricket.
Copic Markers: E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E57, R85, YR23, Y17, Y21, C1, C3, C5, C7 - available from DTDF.

Star Light, Star Bright

Hi everyone, hope you are as happy as I am that it is the weekend! I have a quiet one planned and am planning on crafting up a storm! My first creation of the day can be seen below....

I'm really chuffed that I used some really old stash on this card. The rub-on sentiment is ancient, as are the leaves which are cut from a 3x3 DCWV pad - items both bought/acquired when I first started crafting!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Star Bright Tia' by Some Odd Girl.
Copic Markers: E00, E02, E11, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E50, RV06, RV34, BG15, BG23, BG49, Y21, Y17, YR23 - available HERE from Dies to Die For
Tools & Embellishments: Martha Stewart 'Wing Border Punch - Cloudy Hearts', Prima Hydrangea, Fancy Pants rub-on, pearls and buttons from stash.

There are a few little challenges hidden in here... did you spot them?!

Stamp Something - Cute Somethings.
Totally Gorjuss - Hot, Hot, Hot.

I'm off to do some more crafting!

If only I could have managed a few more of these BEFORE Christmas?! Oh well, luckily it comes around every year which means that I have officially started my Christmas cards for 2011! Woohoo for me :o)

I've just realised that I need to take back what I said yesterday about purple papers.... I love these bad boys too! Well done Cosmo Cricket - I knew you were one of my fave paper manufacturers for a reason!

Mmm... New Papers!

As I mentioned in my last post, I am truly useless when it comes to resisting pretty papers....! My latest order arrived this morning and I just couldn't wait to get stuck in. I had 2 new pads and now 2 new cards have been created ;o)

This is the first of the two and I'm really pleased with it. I love purple cards but find it hard to find decent purple papers. Well, my search is over. I am totally loving this Pixie-licious stuff!

I also altered my hair colouring technique and it actually worked pretty well. I need more practice but I'm on my way to being satisfied with the overall effect.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Tiny Tina by Some Odd Girl.
Paper: Pixie-licious by Cosmo Cricket.
Copic Markers: E00, E02, E11, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E50, YG03, YG63, YG67, BG01, BG05, V12, V15, V17, W1, W3, W5, W7 - available HERE from Dies to Die For.
Tools & Embellishments: EK Success Punch and buttons from stash.

I've done quite well on the challenge front with today's makes and have managed to squeeze 4 into this card.....

Fussy & Fancy - Sketch.
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Thank You.
Crazy 4 Challenges - Thank You.
PaperPlay - Cutie Patootie.

OK, I think that is enoough waffle from me for one day. I'll pop back tomorrow to share another of today's creations with you :o)

Clinging on to Summer

I love the sunshine and I hate being cold, so you can guess my favourite season, can't you?! I really don't want summer to end. So, whilst my Uggs are making more frequent trips out of the house, I thought I would make a really sunny and cheery card to try and warm myself from the inside out :o)

This kind of scrappy layout is my absolute fave. In my eyes, Inge is the queen of scrappy cards so I just had to join in this weeks Friday Sketchers challenge when I saw who created it! I'm also entering this card in to the Stamp Something challenge as this weeks theme is 'Cute'. Well, I think little Fleur qualifies in that category....! ;o)

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Fleur Anya' by TGF, available HERE from DTDF.
Sentiment: 'Ticket Sentiments' by Whimsy Stamps.

Paper: 'Material Girl' by Cosmo Cricket, available HERE from DTDF.

Copic Markers: E00, E02, E11, E50, R32, R35, R37, R59, YR04, YR07, YR23, YR26, Y21, G21, G85, G94, W1, W3, W5, W7 - available HERE from Dies to Die For.
Embellishments: Pearls from stash coloured with Copic markers.

Thanks so much for stopping by, make sure you stop to say hi! ~♥~

And.... Relax :o)

Morning folks. Nothing particular exciting to tell you about today so I will get straight down to telling you about my latest card! To be honest, it is a miracle I was able to finish it actually as my flaming E00 ran out mid session! Don't worry, a refill is on its way.... with maybe one or two other new pens!!! Well, it would be rude not to really, wouldn't it?!

As many of you know, I absolutely love and adore Sassy Studio images. I'm always happy with the cards I produce with them as they are so easy to colour and work with. They actually had a DT call a couple of months ago but unfortunately it was during my blogging break and I was unsure if I could commit the time. I didn't apply and am now totally kicking myself! Oh well, I'm sure there will be another one in the future ☺

Goodie List........
Stamps: Sassy Studio
Paper: Cosmo Cricket 'Ducks in a Row'.
Copic Markers: E00 (just!), E02, E11, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E50, R20, R22, R81, R83, R85, YG03, YG63, YG67, W1, W3, W5, W7 - available HERE from DTDF.
Tools & Embellishments: A couple of gems and that is about it.

I'm entering this one in to the challenge at Sassy Studio as it is polka dots this week and I can spy a few on my DP! I also followed the sketch at Friday Sketchers

I Finally Used my RV Copics!

It doesn't happen very often but I finally used my RV Copics on this card! They are so blinkin bright that it takes a very 'special' design paper to take balance them out. However, the fabulous 'Delovely' by Cosmo Cricket hit the spot perfectly :o)

I have so enjoyed playing with these new style High Hopes stamps. They are really easy to colour and are really versatile as they can be used for both male and female cards. Not only that, but Tracy at DTDF has a fabulous range in stock and I happen to know that she is expecting a new batch VERY soon! Keep your eyes open peeps ;o)

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Dragon Go Round' by High Hopes, in stock HERE at DTDF.
Paper: 'Delovely' by Cosmo Cricket, in stock HERE at DTDF.
Copic Markers: E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, YG03, YG23, YG63, BG15, BG23, BG49, Y15, Y17, Y21, RV02, RV04, RV06, W1, W3, W5, W7 - available HERE from DTDF.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems, ribbon and flower from stash.

I am going to enter this card in to the challenges over at High Hopes (ribbons and bows) and Crafty Cardmakers (Happy Birthday).

Hope everyone is happy and healthy and enjoying the summer :o)

Sunday's with Crissy - Guest Designer!

Morning all! I'm all excited today as the wonderful Crissy Armstrong (super-dooper illustrator for Whimsy!) is kicking off her own challenge blog and has asked all us Whimsy DT-ers to be her first guest designers! Isn't she a sweetie?! The new blog is called Sunday's with Crissy and is designed to showcase Crissy's digital images. This gave me the perfect chance to play with this fabulous new digi image designed by Crissy for Whimsy! The images are released here tomorrow (Monday 12 April) so here is a little teaser.....

Crissy's first challenge calls for you to make a combo. Now, you can combine anything - techniques, images, embellishments... you get the idea. Anyway, my combo is that I have combined 2 DP's and have added some doodling around the edge of my digi image. Not too adventurous I know but the image was too cute to clutter! I suppose I have also combined two challenges as well though - Sundays with Crissy and Our Creative Challenge where the theme this week is bows.

Goodie List........
Digi Stamps: Hang in There, available here at Whimsy Stamps from Monday 12 April.
Paper: 'Earth Love' by Cosmo Cricket.
Copic Markers: R20, R22, E43, E47, E49, G21, G85, G99, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Ribbon from stash.

BTW, you have a a fortnight to make something gorgeous (rules on the challenge blog) and get it posted online. You really are going to want to make an effort too as one lucky winner is going to win 15 delicious Copic Markers!

Make sure you join me again tomorrow when we will be showcasing yet more of Whimsy new digital images in a fun filled Whimsy blog hop!

Whimsy Snickerdoodle Snowball Fight!

Welcome to the Whimsy Stamps Snickerdoodle snowball fight! If you have arrived here from Sharon's blog, that is perfect. If not, you need to go right back to the beginning, back to Deb's lovely crafting home!

Today we are show casing the wonderful new stamps designed for Whimsy by the amazing Crissy Armstrong. There are three stamps in the new range which is called the Snickerdoodle Kids Collection. It was hard to choose which stamp to ink up first but I settled for the super fun 'Sledding with Marty & Max'....

Isn't this fun?! I was really proud of myself for busting my new sewing machine out on this card. I've only been using it on fabric lately as last time I used it on card I nearly killed it! I managed to pluck up the courage though and it seemed to work fine this time - aside from my wonky stitching that is ☺

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Sledding with Marty and Max' - available from Whimsy Stamps.
Paper: Cosmo Cricket 'Jolly by Golly'.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Sewing machine and ribbon from stash.

So that's it from me! Where to now?! Well, why don't you pay a little visit to Lisa's blog to check out more of these fabulous Snickerdoodle designs?!

One last thing...you might want to make sure that you pay attention to and comment on the snowball posts of the DT members as there is a $50 Whimsy voucher up for grabs, more stamps hidden along the way, as well as spot prizes over on the Whimsy SNR page.....!

Afternoon! I'm pleased to say that I have managed to thaw slightly since yesterday but not pleased to say that the University has now had a thorough gritting as so we are able to go back to work tomorrow..... boo hiss! Oh well, at least I got one free snow day out of it!

Those eagle-eyed bloggers among you will have noticed that the Whimsy challenge blog has been put on hold for the time being. Instead, Whimsy boss Denise is going to focus the challenges through the Whimsy page over at SNR. Every Monday, a new challenge will be posted, much like we did on the previous blog - just with a little more crafty interaction! Well, it is week 1 and the first challenge is 'Let It Snow'. We want you to use your Whimsy stamps to make a card featuring or using snow - shouldn't be too hard for us Brit's should it, given the week we've had! To start things off with a bang, Denise has even posted a free digi image on the Whimsy SNR page! Hop over there now!

So here is my snow card! You really cannot get more snowy than a snowman can you?! Well I don't think you can anyway!

Copic Colour Challenge #46

Oh dear, I'm a few days late with this one, even though it was made and ready to go last weekend! Naughty Stacey, completely forgot to upload the flaming picture after work like she promised!

Anyway, I'm here now..... The colours this week over at the Copic Colour Challenge are very pretty - G00, RV21 and B32. Unfortunately, I didn't have all of these colours but I substituted with some that were pretty near.

Apologies for the poor picture, I was forced to take this with my daylight lamp - never comes out anywhere near as well as proper daylight! This is a bit of a different shape for me this card and I have to say, I really like it. It also gave me a chance to play with my previously untouched and brand spanking new Miss Anya's. I just love her hair, she looks like Bo-Peep!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Miss Anya Love' by The Greetings Farm, from Dies to Die For.
Paper: Cosmo Cricket.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Nestabilities, EK Success border punch, Stickles, ribbon, thread and button from stash.

Hope you are all wrapped up warm and safe and away from all of that horrid snow. I'm gutted to say that I've not taken one snow days yet and have traipsed in to work every day so far. So think of me when you are making your next snowman!

Copic Colour Challenge #44

Good gawd, it is getting cold out there isn't it?! My colleague got all excited this morning as Met Check have said that we can expect snow in Southampton on Christmas day! A total rarity for us. Mind you, it probably won't affect me as I'll be at home with my folks on the Isle of Wight and, due to that lovely coastline, they never get any snow there!

Anyway, enough waffling..... It's Copic Colour Challenge time! This week we are sponsored by InStyle stamps and the colour trio is Y15, BG05 and E47. Whilst making my card, I was mentally cursing the DT member who thought up this colour combo..... that was until I realised that I was the poor fool who picked it!!!

So, here is my card using my InStyle image. I love this girlie and this is going to be my Christmas card to my niece. Hope she likes it!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Girl Singer' by InStyle.
Paper: 'Jolly by Golly' by Cosmo Cricket.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash, computer generated sentiment.

So, that's it from me today. Hope you are all well and that you are all set for the big day!

Anyone for Anya?! Bling it Up Baby!

Hi folks, a flying post from me tonight! Gotta serve up dinner in 10 minutes, then wolf it down quickly so that I can spend the rest of the night on the sofa with a glass of vino, watching the X Factor final! I'm so rooting for Joe - love that boy!

Anyway, quickly down to the reason you are probably here - my Anyone for Anya DT card! This week we want you to bling it up so chuck all the sparkle you can at your card - EASY!

Aside from the gems, you can't really see my sparkle. Just in case you are wondering, the snowflake is smothered in glitter IRL!

This is also my entry in to Papertake this week as I haven't used red or green! I've just got close - pink and aqua!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamp: The Greetings Farm.
Sentiment: Pink Cat Studio.
Paper: Cosmo Cricket.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Snowflake punchie, ribbon, button and gems from stash.

Toodles peeps!

Anyone for Another Day Late Anya?!

Oh dear.... my regular posting has all gone horribly wrong hasn't it? I've made the cards to share with you, just haven't had the time to actually share them! What a manic weekend it's been. However, I have achieved.... I managed to get all of my Christmas shopping done in one day and also did a 5 hour round trip to Kent to visit one of my best friends and her gorgeous new baby girl, Ava. Because of all of this excitement, I wasn't able to post my Anyone for Anya DT card yesterday..... sorry teamies! The theme this week is 'Anything Goes' so you can basically do whatever you like ☺. BTW, we are sponsored by the wonderful Mo's Digital Pencil

It is a nice and simple layout this one but the paper is so gorgeous, I didn't want to cover it up too much! Also, I know this stamp isn't technically very Christmasy but I've decided that as long as it has Christmas paper and a Christmas sentiment - anything goes!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Dahlia by The Greetings Farm, from Dies to Die For
Paper: Jolly by Golly - Cosmo Cricket.
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Copic markers.
Tools & Embellishments: Nesties and ribbon from stash.

OK, that is it from me. I'll be back later today with day 7 of the Whimsy advent calendar!
