Just Magnolia #1

Well, my E00 arrived and.... I'm not sure I like the colour! My Tilda doesn't look like she has a tan anymore, she looks like a salmon!

As Tilda has the most gorgeous cropped tight curly hair and I wanted to give her pretty creamy black skin to match. Unfortunately, the Copics I used did not work at all and it all looked a total mess. So, I guess you could say that I was unhappy from the get-go, which may explain my overall dissatisfaction with the E00! I will try and persevere though.....

Oh, by the way, if you hadn't already guessed, this one is my entry into challenge #1 on the new Just Magnolia blog!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Magnolia, sentiment by Rubber Romance.
Paper: Basic Grey - Granola
Ink & Colour: Memento (Tuxedo Black & Rich Cocoa) and Copics.
Embellishments: Prima flowers, Dew Drops and Ribbon from stash.

P.S. I've been spoilt by my lovely friend Vicki. Look what she sent me......!
Thank you so much Vicki, I really appreciate your kindness! ~♥~

I think you card is just gorgeous, Stacey! This is one of my fave Tilda's but I haven't got her yet always meaning to though! The colours and papers are soooo beautiful!!!
Just thinking about your Copic woes! It might just be the paper that you are using. You don't want it to be too thick or soft as it will suck the ink right out of you marker and that would be a waste!!! But something very smooth will let the ink sit on top of the paper so you can blend it. The paper will also affect the look of the colour. I am using Prism Simply Smooth right now and I love it. The more you play with them the more you will grow to love them!!!

I think your card is great and so sweet an image - lovely coloured! :)(I know the feeling, though, not being satisfied because of one's own expectations!.. *lol*)

I received my black Adirondack stamp pad today - so tonight I will be "stamping away" some images for you! I will have to go back to the e-mail to check out what you wished for and see what I've got! :D

Have a nice day and a lovely week! See you!
Big hugs, Hege

Hey Stacey, I love your card. Love the layout and colours. Sorry to hear about dissatisfaction with E00, personally I prefer E000 as it is a bit lighter and I do understand what you mean for some reason sometimes it does come out salmon-y like but I think yours is gorgeous! I love your goodies from Vicki - I received some too, isn't she so lovely! :0) Oh and yes, sorry the Ciaos would whibble in the sketch cases, I could do with another one for my ciaos so if I find one I will let you know!! xx
