Copic Colour Challenge 62

How on earth did I forget to post this?! I guess I've got it in my head that my work is done once the actual Copic Colour Challenge post is up and running, I just kinda forget about my own little blog. Silly moo cow. Anyway, without further ado, here is my card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge....

The colours were B02, BV02 and YG03. Now these are very pretty colours that work beautifully together.  However, I don't have any papers that match at all! So... imagine my surprise when I realised that I was the one who actually chose this colour combo!!! What an idiot?!

Really like this image. I received just this one in a swap a little while ago and I so need to by the whole lot as I love them! Oh well, maybe payday...!

Goodie List........

Papertake Yumminess...

Hi there! Well, after a nice relaxing weekend, I'm trying to get my act together this week. So, here is the 2nd post in 2 days! I just couldn't resist playing along with Papertake this week - you know how I feel about Dawny P sketches! And, as I WON last week (yippee!) it seemed only right that I got involved ;o)

So here we are! Typical Stacey colours but, I don't care! They are my faves and that is all that matters! They make me feel all summery and happy so I guess you'll all be stuck looking at them in various guises for ever more! Talking of summer, that happens to be the theme over at Crafty Angels this week so this little baby is getting entered!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Sassy Studio Designs.
Paper: Zoe Pearn - Sweet Shop Designs.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E50, R20, R22, R81, R83, R85, BG10, BG15, BG23, Y21, Y28, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash, sentiment by Whimsy Stamps.

Thats all from me, hopefully see you tomorrow!

Anyone for Anya? Dawny's Sketch

Thank you so much for the lovely messages you left me the other day. They really cheered me up and helped me to put things in perspective. I have a few cards now lined up for the week ahead and have started ploughing through my emails and so am feeling a little bit better. Long may it continue!

We have a splendid sketch by our very own Dawny P over at Anyone for Anya? this week. How does she do it?! She always produces corkers doesn't she?! Well, here is my take....

Before you think I've lost the plot, remember that you are now allowed to use CC Designs images over at Anyone for Anya! I'll also be entering this card in to a couple of other challenges..... Simon Says Stamp - Things with Wings..... ABC - Sparkle.

Goodie List........
Stamps: CC Designs. Other Swiss Pixie designs can be found here at Dies to Die For.
Sentiment: Whimsy Snippets Set.
Paper: Mixture of Basic Grey.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E50, E53, R20, R22, R35, R37, R59, R81, R83, R85, YG03, YG63, YG67, Y21, Y28, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Stickles.

Right, I'm off in to town to try and find something to wear for my friends little girls christening next week. Wish me luck!

MIA....

Oh dear.... the blogging situation hasn't improved. The crafting situation hasn't improved. The work situation hasn't improved either. I've not had time to visit anyones blogs lately, I've missed people's birthdays and have just generally been a very rubbish blogging buddy. I feel like I am completely swamped in virtually every area of my life at the minute and things just aren't getting any better. I hasn't helped that I've been away virtually every weekend lately and as I'm a weekend crafter, this has been a bit of a catastrophe. Anyway, I'm actually home this weekend and so am planning a mayor craft fest to try and kickstart my weary mojo. I also want to make up for all the things I've not done recently so that I can appease my guilty conscience and make up for neglecting both my craft stash and my lovely craft friends! Wish me luck.....

Well, I think that is enough moaning. If you are still with me, do you fancy seeing (2 days late...) the card I made for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge? The colours this week are YG00, RV13, V91 and we are sponsored by the wonderful InStyle.

This one was made using the sketch over at Crazy 4 Challenges. I'm not entirely sure these papers really work together with the green card but hey, you have to try these things, right?!

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Yuki' by InStyle
Paper: Doodlebug.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E50, R81, R83, R85, Y21, Y28, YG00, YG03, YG06, V12, V15, V17, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash.

So that is it from me. Sorry to be such a whinge bag, I really hope that this weekend will sort me out!

It's a Double Card Whammy!

Oh dear, I really messed up this week over at CCC.... I'm in charge of making up the colour charts you see. Unfortunately, I got a bit confused between my BG93's and my B93's! An easy mistake to make really as one is mossy green and one is, er, denim blue... ahem! Anyway, I totally confused the whole DT and everyone has used a total variety of colours, all depending on which list they looked at. Doh! Sorry girls! Anyway, what this colour scheme should have been was BG93, E47 and Y23. However, amongst other things, the card below uses B93, E47 and Y23.... whoops!

A nice simple one from me here. I'd like to say that it was done on purpose but in reality, I couldn't face a more complicated layout after I'd finished colouring in all those flippin' hearts! I'm going to enter this in to this weeks Papertake challenge as I think this couple certainly qualify in the cutie pie stakes!

Goodie List........
Stamps: Pink Cat Studio.
Paper: Daisy Bucket, available here from Dies to Die For.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E43, E47, E49, E50, R20, R22, R32, R35, R37, R59, G21, G85, G99, B91, B93, B95, B97, Y17, Y21, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Machine stitching and computer generated sentiment.

My second card to share with you is my most favourite card that I've made for a while. No idea why, I'm just really pleased with it! I followed the sketch over at Sassy Studio Designs and also used one of the fabulous freebies that Lindsay posted the other day.....

Isn't she gorgeous?! I so want to look like that when I grow up ;o) I'm going to enter this one in to a few more challenges... Dare U 2 Digi Stamp where the challenge is 'metal'... Crafty Angels where the theme is 'My Favourite Things' (in this case the MME papers, the Sassy Studio image and the trademark brown gingham bow with a button!)... and finally Quixotic Paperie where the challenge is 'Heavy Metal'.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Sassy Studio Designs.

Paper: MME 'Quite Contrary - Little Boy Blue', available here from Dies to Die For.

Copic Markers: E00, E11, E43, E47, E49, E50, R20, R22, YG03, YG63, YG67, BG15, BG23, BG49, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Craftwork Cards Card Candy, ribbon, button, chain and charms from stash.

Still with me?! hope I haven't bored you to death! Thanks for stopping by today,

Whimsy Digi Image Release Party Hop!

Welcome to our fabulous Whimsy digi image release party! If you have hopped to me from Deb's blog, that is great. Please keep reading. However, if you have just stumbled across my little patch of the www without first checking out my fellow DT-ers work, you will need to go right back to Crissy's blog at the start of the hop.

Today we are showcasing a new digital collection with exclusive designs from Crissy Armstrong, Katie Sowa, and Ann Vento as well as some others from Whimsy's previous rubber stamp collections. All will be available for download upon completion of purchase. Each download will contain a zip file with 3 versions of the image, a JPEG, TIFF, and PNG all at 300dpi resolution. Images can be flipped, rotated, or resized to fit project needs.

The card I have chosen to share with you uses one of Crissy's images and one of Ann's awesome sentiments, which are taylored to tie in with the image collections.

This image is appropriately titled 'Gift Horse' and I had so much fun colouring him in! I was also very brave and chopped up these DCWV papers which I've had for a couple of years but never managed to use before! For some reason, they never seemed to sit right together. I'm really pleased with how it all turned out this time though and even happier that I also managed to create some flower embellies from the papers too!

I'm going to enter this card in to a few challenges....

Crafty Cardmakers - A Challenging Challenge
That will be that DCWV paper then...!

It's that Blossoms & Butterflies paper again!

Goodie List........
Digi Stamp: Gift Horse, available here from Whimsy Stamps.
Sentiment: Gift Horse Sentiments, available here from Whimsy Stamps
Paper: Blossoms & Butterflies - DCWV.
Copic Markers: E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, R81, R83, R85, G00, G02, G05, Y17, Y21, B60, B63, C1, C3, C5, C7.
Tools & Embellishments: Gems from stash.

Those of you who hop with us right to the end could certainly be rewarded as the lovely Denise is offering one lucky winner some wonderful candy....

a $15 gift certificate to the Whimsy Store
Crissy's Digi "Pebbles the Cat"
Katies's Digi "Awww, So Tweet!"
Ann's Sentiments "Mother's Day Sentiments"

In addition, there is a freebie set of sentiment digi's lurking somewhere along the hop, just waiting for you to find and download them.... we spoil you, don't we?!

Next on your hop list is Sue's blog! Thanks for hopping by today. I hope you liked my card and that I will see you again soon :o)

Anyone for Anya? - Get in Shape!

*** SCROLL DOWN FOR MY SUNDAYS WITH CRISSY GDT CARD! ***

Wow, two posts in one day! Not like me, especially at the moment. Things are manic and I just know that they aren't going to calm down for the foreseeable future unfortunately. I'm trying to juggle so many things at the minute, I know I am going to drop the ball at some point.... it's just a matter of when!

Anyway, enough moaning - on to this weeks Anyone for Anya? challenge! It's a corker this week. We're calling it 'Get in Shape' and we basically want you to create a card using 3 of one shape, 2 of another shape and 1 of a different shape again! Get it?! Well, hopefully my card will help explain it better.....
I've got 1 square, 2 rectangles, 3 Anyas and LOTS of dodgy stitching! I really don't think my poor Janome was very happy with me on this one as it was making a hideous noise as it punched its way through about 4 pieces of paper and card....! However, as I have used stitching, I am able to enter this one into the Stamp Something challenge this week.

Goodie List........
Stamps: Miss Anya sets, available here from Dies to Die For.
Paper: Urban Prairie by Basic Grey.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E43, E47, E49, E50, E51, R81, R83, R85, YG03, YG63, YG67, BG15, BG23, BG49, Y15, Y17, Y21, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Ribbon, button and gems from stash.

So that's it from me! I'm off to try and have a relaxing day before I'm back at work tomorrow.... boo hiss! Hope to catch up with you all later today :o)

Sunday's with Crissy - Guest Designer!

Morning all! I'm all excited today as the wonderful Crissy Armstrong (super-dooper illustrator for Whimsy!) is kicking off her own challenge blog and has asked all us Whimsy DT-ers to be her first guest designers! Isn't she a sweetie?! The new blog is called Sunday's with Crissy and is designed to showcase Crissy's digital images. This gave me the perfect chance to play with this fabulous new digi image designed by Crissy for Whimsy! The images are released here tomorrow (Monday 12 April) so here is a little teaser.....

Crissy's first challenge calls for you to make a combo. Now, you can combine anything - techniques, images, embellishments... you get the idea. Anyway, my combo is that I have combined 2 DP's and have added some doodling around the edge of my digi image. Not too adventurous I know but the image was too cute to clutter! I suppose I have also combined two challenges as well though - Sundays with Crissy and Our Creative Challenge where the theme this week is bows.

Goodie List........
Digi Stamps: Hang in There, available here at Whimsy Stamps from Monday 12 April.
Paper: 'Earth Love' by Cosmo Cricket.
Copic Markers: R20, R22, E43, E47, E49, G21, G85, G99, W1, W3, W5, W7.
Tools & Embellishments: Ribbon from stash.

BTW, you have a a fortnight to make something gorgeous (rules on the challenge blog) and get it posted online. You really are going to want to make an effort too as one lucky winner is going to win 15 delicious Copic Markers!

Make sure you join me again tomorrow when we will be showcasing yet more of Whimsy new digital images in a fun filled Whimsy blog hop!
